    Hello all,

I am totally new with all this and... it definitely looks terribly difficult.

So the first question I have is this one : does it worth the shot to hire an advisor at the beginning ?

If yes, I took a look at the Bahamas SIA registrant... and... well, the official 2018 list is block by my computer (it is on the scb.gov.bs website) but not the 2017 page (september)... Does it means the 2018 list is corrupted ? Should I use only the 2017's ?

Sorry if this question looks stupid...

Not stupid at all. The best way I can think to answer somewhat though is to ask a couple of other questions. Is your overall plan to mange your own investments? Are you willing/able to self study? Do you have time during market hours to be online and able to react to things? If not, on weekends? If you plan to self manage I would not suggest hiring an advisor but rather start a self study system.
