It appears the sell off/shorting has subsided some. AMD was down under the average volume and did make a bounce from the LOD. In comparison NVDA was down above the average volume and INTC was down under the average volume. For two days running the LOD was 4.07/4.08 so support may have been established. After the bounce from the low it appeared there was accumulation taking place between 4.15 and 4.18 with a spike here and there. AMD actually performed better than I anticipated as the bounce was above 50 on the RSI. Is AMD ready to move back up? I can't say with certainty but it appears the sentiment has changed some. Even Motley Fool that has been anti-AMD changed their tune some as admitting that there will be a increase in market share for AMD. It is not just about Polaris but the upcoming ZEN Summit Ridge CPU is in focus as well. Getting back to Polaris, AMD already had a 83% market share in VR with the new Playstation 4.5 and Xbox, etc, it should increase from there. As long as the margins are good the rev's should be accordingly. Prices are above the rising 40-week moving average line. The OBV line on this time frame has also begun to rise. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) oscillator is also bullish. When AMD is done correcting its recent advance and closes above $5 our sights will be set on the $7.00 to $8.00 area as the next price objective. http://realmoney.thestreet.com/arti...devices-comeback-story?puc=yahoo&cm_ven=YAHOO

Apple 2016 laptops will have AMD GPUs http://www.fudzilla.com/news/graphics/40835-all-apple-2016-laptops-come-with-amd-gpus
This only speculation on my part but AMD might be still working with MediaTek. I was just getting to write there was big resistance at 4.30 but it broken as I was typing. MediaTek: VR, Dual-Cam Trend Can Prop Up Margins; Morgan Stanley U-Turns From Sell To Buy http://blogs.barrons.com/asiastocks...-can-prop-up-margins-morgan-stanley-upgrades/ The RX 480 will be made available on 29 June 29th
If my wife's computer dies I will be looking into an AMD build with the 480, you cant beat that price!
AMD is now trading ahead of the market as the squeeze is on. I hope everyone held on to their share's or calls AMD Stock: This Is Why the Bears Are Wrong on Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. http://www.profitconfidential.com/s...he-bears-are-wrong-on-advanced-micro-devices/
I recently bought my Gkids a new Xbox, I hope it will upgrade-able to to the 480. I guess I will be one of the buyers increasing the market share Trading at the HOD as buyers come in and the shorts cover
With Apple's new laptops to use AMD's GPUs that is more market share that has been captured. The shorts tried their best today through various websites to give dis-credits but in the end many of them covered as the buyers came in a little above average volume. Don't be surprised if Microsoft follows suit to get VR on their PC's. In the near term the 4.75 level is in sight. If enough of this type news come in you can expect some analyst's upgrades.
AMD out the gate strong this morning on good volume \ Apple GPUs are based on AMD's Polaris 11 With sub 40 to 50W TDP AMD has two GPUs which should make future Mac notebooks and PCs and both are based on Polaris 10 and 11 GPUs. Our original story yesterday smoked out a few more details from our industry sources. The first chip which will probably head to Mac All-in-Ones or notebooks is a less-than 40W TDP part with an MXM-based GPU that has 10 Compute Units each with 64 compute cores. The total number of compute units is 640 and the card has 4GB RAM. A sub 40W GPU will give users about 1-1.25 Tera Flops which should be more than enough to power Apple displays. It might even have enough juice to play a casual game. http://fudzilla.com/news/graphics/40840-amd-apple-gpu-polaris-11-based
AMD is currently under big consolidation between 4.51 and 4.53. This has been going on for hours since profit taking set in. There has been endless support at 4.51. We went through this considerably when AMD was trading in the mid-3's and higher. If charting history repeats this could be the prelude to the next leg up Tesla Partner Nvidia Lagging GPU Rival AMD Amid Gaming Refresh: MKM http://www.investors.com/news/techn...agging-gpu-rival-amd-amid-gaming-refresh-mkm/
Even as AMD has been up the last two sessions no new big buyers have not entered the ring. The 1.51 support was broke momentarily to bounce back up and close at that support. In comparison NVDA did not move the needle much only gaining .19%. The only negative I could find is the delay of the Zen processor. With that we will see what tomorrow brings Report claims Intel, AMD will both delay next-gen processors to early 2017 http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/...-both-delay-next-gen-processors-to-early-2017
I thought you guys might get a kick out of Cramer talking about AMD http://www.cnbc.com/2016/06/07/cramer-amd-might-have-doubled-but-its-still-too-risky.html
Thanks FastEddy for the video. As pessimist as Cramer is he wasn't too tough on AMD. He will never stick his neck out too far on a stock that is unproven. I thought he covered the technical's well and his target prices were spot-on with ours at 6 and 8 but he didn't stretch the chart out far enough for the 9.75 I came up with for the longer term. Bravo Cramer Looking decent in pre-market on 111k volume Cramer and AMD http://www.cnbc.com/2016/06/07/cramer-amd-might-have-doubled-but-its-still-too-risky.html
AMD down early on. The only negative I can find is the delay of the Zen CPU to release at CES 2017 because of weak PC sales. INTC is doing the same thing. As AMD popped from 4.07 to 4.53 it became overbought and the drop today is actually good for the next leg up. In comparison NVDA is down as well this morning. I have said this on most drops but this is a good time for some calls. I have the Jan 20, 2017 $5.50 and $7 calls that gives time for AMD to get all their ducks in a row.
The first day of E3 will be streamed live on Twitch.tv next week for those interested. May get some live news on AMD.
It appears that AMD is now in sync with the market that is all red this morning. AMD Polaris Radeon RX 480 beats GTX 980 Ti in terms of power draw, price range http://en.yibada.com/articles/130093/20160608/amd-polaris-radeon-rx-480-beats-gtx-980-ti-terms.htm
