A new HOD since my last post. Running good considering it is very overbought but the buyers keep flooding in The Next Big Thing for Advance Micro Devices Inc.? http://www.profitconfidential.com/technology/the-next-big-thing-for-advance-micro-devices/
You can't go one day with out some news site talking about VR. A quick search about investing in VR leads you to AMD and there you have it.
Somebody opened the gate, the buyers are rushing in. My L2 is moving at a rate of speed that is hard to keep up with
That's just not true. The market share between NVidia and AMD is like 60% vs 40% which is not that huge. And even that might change in 2016. RX-480 is literally the best deal right now. I know I'll be buying one when it comes out and it comes from a loyal NVidia user.
I was always afraid of those. Can't even play them with regular headphones and a a controller, let alone VR. But yeah, it's a driver, I personally know a guy who's gonna buy VR just for horror games.
Another big move yesterday though overbought level. AMD should be close to taking a breather but I thought that yesterday as well. Slightly positive in pre-market but not enough volume to make a call. Short term price target of $6 should be on the horizon. The next catalyst could be how the sales on the RX480 go as they are to be released on the 29th of this month. Yesterdays close
It does seem like a overkill. There is no negative news out there, just the normal noise from Motley Fool and Seeking Alpha. Considering profit taking was overdue most likely the shorts helped push it down harder.
Watching L2 it appears it is being shorted and I would have been surprised if it wasn't considering how overbought it was.
That 5.24 was only a 100 share trade when pre-market opened and out of sync with the other trades but AMD still up decently on 57K traded
