Sold 30% of my shares today at $13.45 for a 28% gain. Once again, looks like I sold a tad early, although I'm still happy with the profits. I agree that the momentum is just starting, however my question is whether it's short or long after these powerful surges.
Profit is profit, I'll take any 20+% gain any day. But i believe there is more meat left on the bone .
I've been long term bullish for a long while and caught a couple swings but now I just want back in........ but they are making it very hard to buy.....and that's a bullish sign for sure. Congrats for hanging in there guys.
My latest point and figure count gives a long-term objective of $37.50 but it can build more cause in a stepping-stone trading range when it gets there or on the way up.
Bulls know the value here, and the bump that will come after NVDAs ER. Smaller bears will get run over a 2nd time on Friday morning. Perpetual naysayers will jump in and the board will be filled with speculation that stock will drop back to $11/$10 like Dec. HOLD THE LINE
A recent report highlighted that Advanced Micro Devices Inc. stock could double within a year. But, Can AMD stock continue to soar after a 290% gain in 2016? http://amigobulls.com/articles/is-advanced-micro-devices-inc-amd-stock-headed-to-25
Holding the line she's going to $15 soon I can feel it... End of year $20 range I bet.... There is a lot of people lining up to buy the Ryzen CPU and the Vega GPU's plus the Ryzen CPU's are going to be going in to a lot of server farms... Google Etc... I am betting that others will jump on board at release..
Is it possible that NVDA ER in two days could help AMD stock either way? If it is good people might think "Look at how good the GPU market is!" and if it's bad they might say "AMD is doing great so this will help them take more market share back!" Just wondering what your thoughts are. Also what do you think would be a good time to buy before this happens? It dipped down to 13.11 today which might have been a good time to buy (hindsight) more as it's now climbing fast past 13.50.
@Pouie NVDA ER result will definitely affect the SP of AMD, just look at the price action of both companies on 12/28 when short-seller Citron Research tweeted that NVDA was going back to $90 in 2017. In hindsight I wish that I bought 8000 shares @ $13.20 earlier today, but at the end I pulled the trigger buying NVDA at $118.80 instead.

Would selling put be better at this point? I doubt it will move much given the rise over the last few months.
Long here and I added more shares at $13.50 today. AMD Ryzen Lineup & Prices Confirmed, 8 Cores For As Low As $320 Read more: http://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-lineup-pricing-confirmed-8-cores-low-320/
Holy crap that's some good info right there! Very exciting! How did you buy at $13.50 I don't see it dipping that low on the graphs, haha.
