Watching UGLD/DGLD - there is a huge honkin' gap on UGLD that we are almost into. Also watching USLV/DSLV if it follows gold.

 

Ok, I have been absent on this journal and my trading recently.

Account is still sitting at 7,144.37.

Watching the following:
USO Puts
FXI Calls
IYR Puts
RSX Puts

Adding XOP PUTS

 

I put a flyer on some IYR Puts at the close. Could see (hopefully see) a big drop coming next week.

I picked up 34 of the $89 7/19 PUTS @ .29 for $986 (small aggressive entry amount) - I will add more if the play works on Monday.

 

Here is my analysis. I know I haven't posted one of these in a while. Added a couple new indicators - trying not to create paralysis by analysis.

 

Watchlist for early this week:

YINN Long
EDC Long
LABU Long
DRN Long - already have a small aggressive 7/19 CALL on this one. If it triggers will move more $ into play.

 

closed out my IYR PUT for a 25% loss - signals did not materialize today.

USO Puts
FXI Calls

FXI Calls were looking good until about 11:00 - they might be off the table depending on how they close

Are all a watch for me - So I may basically be short energy.

 

Did not get in on these plays, but they would've been big gainers today. Energy taking a hit again - I believe on Trumps comments.

wow, just noticed above was my 1,000th post here. I remember lurking on HSM. This is hands down the best trading forums I've been a part of.

I entered a 1/2 position lot on SPY. I got 58 $297 PUTS @ .60 right before the close.

 

1/2 position UNG puts entered at the close. I bought 50 of the $18.5 UNG 8/30 puts @ .32 at the close.

 

On Deck:
SLV Calls

 

Bought a small entry of 27 contracts @ .24

Edit: 10/11 16.5 CALLS

 

Averaged down a little this morning with 13 contracts @ .23 and 13 contracts @ .22

 

Bought a small position on UNG.

Got 47 11/1 21.5 CALLS @ .17 right before the close.

 

Here is my analysis on UNG calls

Trying to get back to basics here - I'm always trying to tweak and enhance, which winds up costing me - So getting back to the main points that were successful in the beginning.

 

Sell order to close 1/2 position at 100%. Limit order for the open @ .34 for 42 contracts

Edit - Can't math this morning - 1/2 contracts is only 23

 

stopped out at 50% gain. Sold 47 contracts @ .26

 

Picked up 17 contracts of FXI 11/1 41.50 PUTS @ .33 right at close.
