Just bought these: 3 XLE $58.5 1/17 Puts @ .21 2 IWM $168 1/17 Calls @ .40 3 VXX $13.5 1/17 Puts @ .18 1 XBI $99 1/17 Calls @ .49 Buying Power Left Over $7.32
Sold all of these throughout the day for an 11% gain. Mixed bag Bought 1 AGTC 1/17 $7.5 PUT @ .50 - calling pump n dump up to $269.20 EOD today.
Bought from Friday TLT Calls on Tuesday and sold Wednesday Morning. Was holding XLB and just closed for a profit.
Whew, had to have some steel hands this morning. I bought JNUG calls over the weekend and should've bought them at the open this morning! I ended up selling at 50% gain, but only had 75% of my capital invested.
well, this has been quite a week. I was 1 play away from blowing up my account. I played some IYR puts over the weekend and got absolutely wrecked when I doubled down on Monday and Robinhood wouldn't let me sell b/c of pattern day trading. So I had to hold them into Tuesday and got more wrecked. Wound up with just over $108 (the lowest part of the graph) and purely gambled on FB puts (207.5 1/31 puts @ .86) and sold them after earnings for 4.00. Then bought NUGT calls at the close yesterday, but only got filled on $175 of my $400 and sold them for 50% gain today. I then put all of that into 2/21 VXX $13 puts averaged in at .13246 and holding these over the weekend.
Still holding my VXX 13.5 2/21 PUTS. They were down a penny yesterday, but should be pumping today. I went about 1 strike too far OTM with how high the IV was on these puppies. I'll post up when I sell them - possibly today b/c I got an unusual option flow on a company reporting earnings on Thursday that I want to throw a couple $$$$ at
I've mostly been treading water this week. I sold out of my VXX puts on Tuesday and went into IYR calls which did not pan out and lost around $80. I literally had a decision between VXX puts/SPY calls/IWM calls/XLV calls/SMH calls and literally picked the only loser in IYR. I picked up some XOP calls yesterday with only $100 and completely reversed on me. My unusual options flow detected flow on SKX $42 2/21 calls which they crushed earnings. Picked up some 2/14 GLD calls expecting bad virus news tomorrow/this weekend.
Sold my SKX calls this morning at the open @ 2.15 for just over a 100% gain. Also sold my GLD calls @ .74 this morning on the sell off. Still holding XOP for .04 cents - they will expire worthless. Should've thrown more capital at the SKX earnings, but can say that in hindsight. Watching a couple players for this weekend, but here we are as of 11:00 today.
Hit an absolute grand slam this morning on an unusual options flow for SHOP earnings yesterday. Someone laid out 73K on some 2/14 $565 Calls yesterday at 3:31 @ 2.70 while the stock was trading at $493. I piggybacked on this since it was unusual - above the O/I - and at the ask. Although I only put in 1 contract @ 2.70, which I sold this morning for 22.00 after robinhood was stuck at .01 for 3 minutes.
I missed XLE puts from my strategy on Friday due to a happy hour at work. Missed an easy 4-5 bagger. Watching USO puts and UNG puts. I think the pain might keep up for another day.
well this trading journal has come to an end. Based on Robinhood being completely down on Monday 3/2/20 and most of the day Tuesday 3/3/20 I have moved all of my funds out of the brokerage. I luckily did not have any plays over the weekend - and couldn't get into any trades yesterday, so I got out unscathed - unlike many other people. The only issue is that now I have to wait 6 days for the funds to clear into my Interactive Broker's account. I will start a new journal for my Interactive Broker's account as I will now be combining the $2K I had in my IB account and the $2,767.36 from my Robinhood account. My new Interactive Broker's journal will probably be a mix of options as well as futures plays. Hopefully someone enjoyed this journal and will follow along with my new journal.
