They all go up initially because crypto traders are sloshing gains from older issues to new ones ......... rinse and repeat.

Since the exchanges are unregulated is also helps that they can spoof the prices to attract the momo crowd before any real sell pressure begins.

The Winklevoss twins aren't "whales" in the investment industry. They're just trust fund babies - who nearly ruined what Facebook eventually became.

At any rate, wouldn't surprise me if they haven't sold. In fact I think there's some story they had released in the media how each of them have a key to their Bitcoin stash that's locked away. Anyone who doesn't liquidate an initial $11 million position that became worth over $10 billion is a greedy moron and deserves to lose it all.

    Actually here's the quote:

"The Winklevoss twins cut up the key to their $1.3 billion bitcoin fortune and keep each piece in different bank vaults. The Winklevoss twins, known for suing Mark Zuckerberg, started buying bitcoin in 2012. Their bitcoin holdings are now worth $1.3 billion, The New York Times reported.Dec 19, 2017"

There are two strong cases for Bitcoin and Crypto. Long term, as the world becomes less dependent on oil, it will hit USD obviously. There are many countries that can flourish on crypto so I am on the side that it will not ever go "poof"... But it's current valuation... yeah...

I'm also very wary of true volatility in these, especially Bitcoin. It can crash unlike anything we've seen before. That's why I continue to day trade and swing and have sold enough of all my long term holdings w/ profit so the remaining positions are all greed free money rides.

Has anyone here been taking advantage of the pricing differences between platforms/exchanges? I've seen value differences that can make people instant money just by transferring from one to another and am thinking about automating those finds.

What I'm not clear on his how are some of you guys both day trading and swing trading from the same crypto? Doesn't your position get averaged whenever you buy new coin?

That's a big part of the crypto market - the sloshing between exchanges and coins.

Depends on the platform you are using. But regardless, yes I keep my own worksheet of all my trades.

I was wondering if I could get some PMs notifying me where simonyadig is? Also do you guys trade altcoins or just buy and hold btc, or just hate cryptos all together?

I originally bought mine to hold, and kept adding on pullbacks, however when it shot up skyhigh common sense kicked in and I sold. Now I just trade them. I'm a believer in crypto but don't see any reason to buy n hold forever at this point when I can trade them 24/7. At some point it will stabilize and I will reconsider.
