    Hi,
I am quite new to this matter.
as a Canadian resident I only used my Canadian bank account to purchase American stocks. 15% of tax is withheld from the dividends.

what about Canadian stocks? will I get the full amount of dividends with no withholding of any kind? (like the stock has a yield of 5%, and I purchase $10000 of the stock, will I get CAD$500?)

I know this might sound like a silly question but I want to be 100% sure before I purchase any stock.
