Hello, first post; recently I was screening for small us regional banks, and was astounded to find cash per share was much higher than share price on alot of them. Is this indicative of an undervalued company? or is the accounting a bit screwy for banks (ie. deposits count as cash?). For example, HTBK is currently trading for $7.12, but has $16.25 cash per share. If I understand this right, for every dollar invested, the company has $2.28. They also have extremely low debt, so investors shouldn't be too worried about their solvency. Is this a underlooked, undervalued bank, or am I missing something. Thanks, Tim Bepis
