Big caps holding up well, small caps and the ARK names are struggling today though with the rebound of bonds yields.
You think I think we got a bear coming. Who knows. Record profit at earnings. Could be a push higher.
WMT is at an ATH and reports tomorrow morning. Is the market strong enough to support a mega cap breaking out?
Oil prices are collapsing here and jobless claims starting to climb, signs of a recession coming soon? I think people will still spend money for the holidays but let’s see what will happen in Q1 next year

The Kobeissi Letter on X: "JUST IN: Walmart, $WMT, falls 8% as CFO says October trends have made them "pause and rethink the health of the consumer." More specifically, Walmart said they saw a sharp falloff in sales during the last 2 weeks of October. MSFT dropped hard end of day, the CEO of OpenAI was fired (Microsoft was a backer). SPY and QQQ were at monthly R2, so upside was limited heading into next week anyway.
(This is 2 months old) https://www.businessinsider.com/sof...tment-boss-says-uses-chatgpt-every-day-2023-9 Softbank is planning to invest in OpenAI, report says, after Masayoshi Son said he uses ChatGPT every day The Softbank founder claimed that his late-night conversations with the chatbot inspired him to begin aggressively investing in tech stocks again. One long brainstorming session ended with ChatGPT praising his ideas as "feasible and wonderful", he said in comments reported by the Wall Street Journal. LOL. AI has the entire history of human knowledge to draw from, and it is just a brown noser. And the rich and powerful are tripping over themselves to invest in it.

Carl Rinsch was the original director of "47 Ronin" with Keanu Reeves. He was pulled from that project though, for reasons of incompetence. e.g. he neglected to put the main character Keanu Reeves in the final fight scene. And he went $50 million over budget. So...Netflix originally signed him for "just" $61 million to make a sci-fi series about artificial humans providing aid, but then they get rejected by the mere humans. And this is where the $11 million comes from. Now Rinsch says Netflix still owes him $14 million more lol. Oh, he also managed to win some of his bets, making $27 million on crypto bets at one point, which he used to buy Rolls-Royces and I'm sure one or two hookers, at least.
