Ford has made a few good moves, with regard to moving to electrification. They have also made some bad ones. Of the big three, I believe Ford is the least viable in the evolution of transportation but that is based on my subjective assessment of their ability to adapt, not their engineering prowess. Long term, I would bet against Ford, were I a gambling man. Medium term, it will come down to who gets the opposed piston engine first. I don't understand the slow play on this. They should be racing to acquire this technology first, like their business depends on it, because it does.
Things I've learned: The sun will always rise, the rain will eventually stop, if someone gives you the creeps you should avoid them, and Ford will **ALWAYS** recover eventually. I was too spooked to load up when it was low, just held my shares. Damn.
So, every few weeks on some message board or another, I'll hear this rumor....about how Tesla wants to join forces with another car manufacturer. Yeah, yeah, holy longshot, Batman! But with my luck I'd finally sell F right before The Big Announcement. Hey, a girl can dream....
Come on Ford...sell off harder! Are we expecting a broader market sell off ? This is on my wish list.
I bought F few days ago for 11,58. Just after i read news about EV Ford cars. I thought why not. Buy a few stocks just to see how would turn. Now stands 11,44.
I feel F is overlooked and has a lot of catching up to do, but will be a big player in the EV market.
Don't worry. I've been red in Ford for more than a year (should've paid more attention to the highs, but whatever....) but I'm starting to see gains again. If they start paying a dividend again, I'll be happy.
And the sheer number of Fleet vehicles I see made by Ford..... It's really a no-brainer. I told two of my younger investing friends "Trust me; when you see Ford around 2, 3 bucks, back the truck up and thank me later."
That Mustang is... interesting. Im curious to see if its only me that thinks its weird, or if its a good weird that will take us by surprise https://finance.yahoo.com/news/ford-spokesperson-dismisses-tesla-model-210303531.html?guccounter=1
Ok we have one for sexy. As a former mustang owner, I am resistant to this departure from the classic muscle car, but this thing does put down some crazy torque!
I had a red 1966 Mustang Fastback with the 289 swapped out with a 351 and a clutch that girls couldn't mash. Paid $750 for it in 1975. Currently own a 92, 93, and 95 F-150 and a 00 Lincoln Town Car all pretty mint except the 92. Also own 1000 shares of the stock @ $9.08 which I would gladly trade today @ 12.85 for a decent 66 Mustang Fastback.
