The analyst's at the begining of the year predicted that 2016 sales would be weak...They were wrong not only in Canada but in the US and maybe mixed across the globe but to the upside Detroit's Big Three report higher Canadian sales for June Ford said in a news release it sold 28,718 vehicles in June, up 7 percent for the month. Demand for pickups fueled a near 12 percent rise in Ford's sales for the first half of 2016, with the automaker reporting the sale of 149,942 vehicles during the six-month period. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/fiat-chrysler-ford-report-higher-170006928.html
Canada's doing work here! It seem's Ford's market share in Canada shrinked throughout May 2015-2016 period though.
I am not sure how long the market will ignore F's progress but I have been compounding divi's for nine years so I am locked and loaded when the time comes Lincoln Sales Momentum Continues in China Lincoln, an iconic luxury automotive brand with a heritage linked to presidents, royalty and movie stars, delivered 6,966 vehicles in China during the second quarter of 2016, more than doubling its sales in the same period of 2015. Lincoln’s first-half sales in China reached 12,450 units, nearly tripling those of last year and exceeding the 2015 full-year sales of 11,630. At the end of the second quarter there are 45 Lincoln dealerships in China meeting the increasing interest and demand for Lincoln Products. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/lincoln-sales-momentum-continues-china-160400698.html
I tried to get into F at the Brexit drop, but my greed made me miss my entry by $0.06. I had that same problem with about 4-5 different plays, which obviously all rebounded nicely and are up quite a bit now. I still think anything under $13 is still a great deal to get into F though.

I mighty just buy this truck Ford (F) Stock Higher, Launches 2017 Super Duty Pickup The all-new Super Duty is the toughest, most capable Super Duty ever. With a host of driver-assist technologies, it is also the smartest Super Duty ever," Ford's Brian Rathsburg, Super Duty marketing manager, said in a statement. https://www.thestreet.com/story/136...super-duty-pickup.html?puc=yahoo&cm_ven=YAHOO
Is Ford About to Break Out Higher? Shares of Ford ( F) are trading just below a major resistance area. A clear break through this key zone, which has held the last two monthly highs in check, could spark a powerful rally. As of Monday's close, Ford remained range-bound, but the potential for an upside resolution is growing stronger. https://www.thestreet.com/story/136...-break-out-higher.html?puc=yahoo&cm_ven=YAHOO
Ford Vehicles and Ford Stock are not even on the same page. I've had a Grand Marquis for 18 years and it's the best ride I've ever owned. Probably spent less than 1g on mechanical repair other than tires, battery and oil changes. Also have a gas guzzling F150 which I like. Shares: Love the Grand Marquis so bought Ford stock 10 years ago. Ford was the only major that didn't need a bail-out in the 2008 financial crisis, I thought great, that should bode well for the stock. What a Dog this company has done been done nothing since. Great product - Poor stock go figure.
If you bought in 2010 your compounded divi's are up substantially and will take you through market turn downs. I agree the market has not been kind to F, but I think it will have it's day in the sun especially with the new stimulus in China where they have a nice foot print. I bought in 2009 myself and paid from about $5 to !3 a share. I am happy with my 2007 Tacoma no problems at all but my next truck will probably be the F-150. I wish I still had the 1947 ford I used to own,
I looked back, bought in 2002 at $15.13 US$ but being that I bought with Can$$ with exchange cost me 24 bucks at the time. Ford hasn't topped $18 US$ for 16 years, come close a few times in 2011 and again in 2013. With today's exchange rate I could get about $17.70 Can$ so F hasn't been one of my favs for investing at least.
Ford is a BUY with 10.8% upside to current price of $13.48 based on averages of all analyst ratings and targets.
Ive been watching Ford, its coming up on previous highs that it was not able to crack before. If new highs in the broader market do not manage to get F to higher levels too, I put on my bear hat!
