I work for Caliber Collision as of Dec 27th 2023. I get to drive all types of cars clean them and scan them diagnostics. Favorite two cars: Last few years they have really been updating the screens and inside of cars for phones etc. Love it. Top 2 Honda CRV 2024 - The longest running SUV on road they say. Curious choice of vehicles. My wife had a CR-V for several years. It was nice enough with the full load, leather, etc. But, it was a lemon. It was the second most problematic car, next to my 2000 Ford explorer I had 23 years ago. I bought it just before the warranty was out. It had 45K km. At the direction of mg lawyer, the dealership replaced the transmission. A second time and ruined a few things in the process (backup sensors, and a couple of other things) . From there, the Explorer went down hill. I felt bad for the guy who bought it. He told me he had several explorers and they were some of the best vehicles he had ever owned. So, I fixed a bunch of stuff on my wife's CR-V, had the head rebuilt, and sold it. She then rented a Nissan Rogue for a few months. I told her that, if she bought that car, I would not do or pay for repairs. From there, she bought a CX-5 which I consider a terribly designed car with a couple of QC issues but it is not showing signs of being a lemon. I expect it will last for a reasonable period of time but who knows. We seem to be in an era where new cars have 20-50 warranty claims.
I'm biased but my 2016 Jeep Cherokee that was bought new has only had one single issue which was a worn flex pipe for the exhaust that ran me about $200. It was outside of the warranty timeframe.
There is a huge number of Ford Mustang GT in Malaysia. Most of them are in Kuala Lumpur but I've seen them elsewhere. Its weird to see so many. More than I see in Canada, although its popular there, as well. I hear the same about Germany. Lots of Mustang GT. Ford did a great job designing the current Mustang GT. Kudos to Ford on that.
Favorite car I had 2006 GTO I'm 36 years old got it when 18 in 2006. Love the ride sold in 2013 for 13 grand. Had like 60 thousand miles on it. Had my 2004 Honda Civic now for 3 years 75 thousand miles bought now has 96 thousand miles. Had rod knocking in first car I got a 1996 Impala SS. The dealer swapped out motor and I got another free and traded it for a down payment for 2006 GTO. Had a Chevy cavalier convertible for a grand 300 drive to elko Nevada and back sold for a grand that year. Had a Chevy avalanche that broke down on road. Had a Toyota Prius for a few years but got backed into full speed at stop and totalled.
