I don't know when the bear is coming but I doubt it will be long. There are few indicators left that don't say very late stage bull or early bear. Same for economic indicators, late stage. I'm not too interested in small profit at this point, volatility-fueled bear market home runs are not far off. I think they're worth waiting for. I am presently 2/3 cash and net bearish. TLT IEF GDX. IMO the markets seemed manipulated last week. PPT maybe? Any way, this administration doesn't put much stock in the traditional norms, so be careful. Government action is always a possibility.
