I'm on a business conference call with a dozen people. Attendees are spread around the world. While we were waiting for the primary speaker, I mentioned it will give us time to buy GameStop shares. That comment caused the call to buzz like a bee hive. It would seem, everyone from Northern Europe to India to China to North America know about GameStop and they all think shutting down buying on GME was a travesty. This seems to be making a lot of people pay attention to the market. I wonder if the attention will attract money and new players.
I've seen posts from celebrities, athletes, influencers, billionaires, etc. pissed off and speaking out for the first time after the RH (+ others) debacle yesterday.
Nobody has EVER seen this before and probably never will again. Not at this magnitude. I agree the WORLD is watching. Amazing what the little guys have accomplished.
Actually, now that I think about, Citron throwing in the towel is possibly a sign we are near the top!
I was waiting for this. imo Citron was a shill for the hedge funds all along. Now he's worthless to them. His words scare no one any longer. At least before he could orchestrate a little dip. Now everyone knows his game. Calling a stock a "casino" etc. Didn't think he would try to switch sides, but I guess he's got to eat. Will be funny when he gets called out for outwardly joining the casino.
I guess that is possible, but I figure they would follow the path of least resistance now that everyone wants to short the shorts. Perhaps the desire to stick it to the man with this one stock as the vehicle is 100% resolute. Everyone is watching this one stock, so a success here for them would be a knife through the heart of the funds I suppose.
How much more squeeze can there be? I think that what ever hedge funds were shorting have taking action by now. They have had enough time.
