GoPro shares jump nearly 12% after results top expectations - https://www.cnbc.com/2017/08/03/gop...line|story&par=yahoo&doc=104624518&yptr=yahoo
No position here, but I was totally expecting GPRO to break down and go lower out of this rectangle. No doubt this earnings caught a lot of shorts off guard!
Really weird setup here, not sure what to expect? Maybe close the gap down to $8.50? Hold support at the 200/50MA? If the price stays higher, we could get a bullish MA crossover as well. Really not sure what to call this right now.
Gapped up a couple days ago, I think something about rumors of being profitable, maybe they pre-reported? Ran up that day, then fell way back. Today it's gone even higher.
GPRO is starting to look like a turnaround situation. Can attest to how good their software is for the avg consumer. Waiting on a report.
Every article I read about clip confirms that it will in no way affect GPRO's marketshare. Yesterday was a knee-jerk over-reaction.
About -10% in AH. Honestly had pre-reported already that they would be profitable, so this beat was mostly expected. Selloff is no surprise. But perhaps now this company is becoming dependable, turnarounds like this are where you can find 10-baggers....but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Might eventually drop all the way back to 8.38 to fill the gap from previous ER, start getting in when this gets closer to 8.7x
If this is how it traded in an up market, just wait for the broader market to turn and this goes below $8 for sure.
I'm looking at this company and its uninvestable. I thought about buying at 8 but that would be a mistake. there is no other rev driver
I trust everyone is doing 90% of their trading elsewhere. GPRO is a good speculative play, but I wouldn’t waste a lot of time here.
Woof, look at the wicks on that candle! Almost 10x average volume today. Opened down ~11% and closed down 12.77%. Bears tried to push it way down, but it rebounded. Still a painful loss for any longs though. Talks of quitting the drone business, and putting the company up for a partnership/sale. Down over 5% today so far with earnings approaching on the 1st (2/1/18). GoPro earnings: Many tough questions after a third flubbed holiday quarter Source: https://www.marketwatch.com/story/g...29?link=MW_widget_latestnews_stockaholics.net Already way oversold and not much support other than that LOD a few weeks ago at about $5. But for a let-down of a company like this one has been the last few years, and the forecast being lowered, who knows what will happen.
