It was a Red Day Yesterday but on Par with the S&P Index.
No Drastic Loss Against the Index Yesterday.

I Added New Monies to my Taxable Brokerage Account Yesterday.
The Same Stocks and Funds were Purchased.

Amazon.com, INC. is Slowing Increasing its Share of my Total Portfolio.

Yesterday's Contribution to the Portfolio was Larger than the Other Recent Ones.
Here is How I Allocated the New Funds:

    AMAT - 24%
    AMZN - 21%
    PARA - 20%
    NCLH - 16%

    VTI - 19%

Do we See a Santa Claus Rally Today?
I Think Markets will Take Direction after the PCE Data is Released.
    Short Term Noise.

It was a Nice Green Day Yesterday to Kick off the 2022 Santa Claus Rally.

Do the Markets have Enough Steam Built Up to Continue the Chug Upwards?
    Lets See.

Looks Like my Contributions for 2022 are Done For.
I will Not be adding to my Portfolio Next Week.

Merry Christmas to my Fellow Stockaholics!

Wish you all a Great Weekend with Loved Ones.
    Enjoy!

    Yesterday was a Red Day.
The Santa Rally did not Continue.

I Got Beat Slightly by the S&P Index Yesterday.
The Oil and Energy Sector Kept the Losses Minimal Yesterday.

I did Add to My Apple Position Yesterday as the Share Price hit 18 Month Lows.
Apple is Headed for its Worst Preforming Year Since 2008.
    I am Not Surprised.

This Year has been Brutal in the Stock Market.

Last Trading Day of 2022 and I’m Green.
    By 0.01%. LoL.

    VTI Dragged me Down Today.
NCLH and LOW were Red Too.

Every Other Position Ended 2022 Positively.

Well My Portfolio Did Not Start 2023 on a High Note.
I Got Beat by the S&P Index Yesterday on the First Trading Day of 2023.

Precious Metals did Rally Yesterday though.
Gold is Sitting on a Six Month High.

I'm sure you have company with you but at least you are honest to admit, the year marathon just started when it's over then you can get a true sense what you accomplished.

A Solid Rally Today, and a Big Beat on the S&P Index.

Day Two of 2023, and I can Officially Say, My Account is Positive YTD.

I Had Some Huge Winners Today:

    PARA (Paramount Global) +8.38%
    SOFI (SoFi Technologies, INC.) +6%
    DAL (Delta Airlines, INC.) +5.46%
NCLH (Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, LTD.) +5.06%
    ABNB (Airbnb, INC.) +4.50%
SPG (Simon Property Group, INC.) +3.08%

I Had One Big Loser Today:
    APA (Apache Corporation) -3.37%.

It is Always a Great Day when Six Major Material Holdings Have +3% Days.

The Travel Industry Stocks Boomed Today, and I Can See Why.
We Were Out Traveling Recently; All Over our Country in November and December, and Abroad in December.
Hotels & Flights Full. Uber Wait Times in Excess of Fifteen Minutes. Restaurants Packed.

The Oil & Energy Sector is Under Pressure Due to China, Russia, Covid, Blah Blah Blah.
I am Holding on Tightly to my Oil & Energy Stocks....For Now.

LVMH Boss Bernard Arnault Now has about a $50B Lead on Elon Musk.

I Was Busy on Tuesday so I could not check (or did not even think about it LoL), but I wonder what the Difference was then when Tesla Shares Tanked by About 12% or so.

I am No Celebrity Buff or Fan, but it is Fun to Follow Along.
I Remember as a Child I Used to Look at the Forbes Lists in the Actual Paper Magazine; Pre-Internet. LoL.

Yes these Guys on the Forbes Billionaire List Can be Considered "Celebrities", but I Do Not View these Men in that Regard.
These Guys are the Top Investors, Businessmen, Entrepreneurs, Visionaries, Philanthropist etc. of our Time.

Some of the Top Names Besides the Two I have been Mentioning:
    Adani (India - Infrastructure)
    Buffet (GOAT LoL)
    Bezos (Amazon)
    Ellison (Oracle)
Ambani (India - Oil, Energy, Telecom)
    Page (Google)

The First Lady on the Forbes Billionaire List is Francoise Bettencourt Meyers (France) sitting at #13.
Her Grandfather was the Founder of L'Oreal; Beauty Products.

Some Good News on the Oil & Energy Sector.

XOM (Exxon Mobil Corporation) Filed its Form 8-K with the SEC.

XOM is Expected to Report Earnings on the 31st of this Month, and they Are Expected to Report a Record Profits for the Year 2022 beating their Last Record set back in 2008.

    https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/XOM?p=XOM&.tsrc=fin-srch

Natural Gas Prices have Absolutely Tanked on Mild Winter Weather Forecasts for January.
Nevertheless, we are Still in the Middle of Winter.

XOM Estimates Lower Profits in Q4 vs. Q3 2022 Due to the Lower Natural Gas Price.

The Commodity Markets are Heavily Manipulated on Paper vs. Actual Product.

Do Not Get me Started on COMEX and What is Going on with the Prices of Silver and Platinum.
    LoL.

It was a Solid Rally on Friday, and today's Pre-Market Session Looks to Continue on Friday's Rally.

Earnings Season Officially Kicks off For me this Friday.

The Doom and Gloom of Various Analyst, and the Roar of the Financial Media Will Not Matter Starting Friday.
I Will just be Focused on the Earnings Released by my Companies, and the Forward Guidance Provided.

It was a Nice Rally to Start this Monday, Week 2 and the First Full Week of 2023.

The S&P was up by 1.41% at One Point Today, but Managed to Give Up all of its Gains and End the Day Red by 0.08%.

I Had a Solid Beat on the S&P Index Today.
I am Still Green for the 2023 YTD Metric.

    Runners Today were:
    NCLH +5.67%
    SOFI +4.33%
    PARA +3.73%
    DAL +2.05%

Laggard today was XOM, Losing -1.86%.

Powell Speech Tomorrow, But nothing Matters until Friday Once my Holdings Start Reporting Earnings.
Show me the Money and the Guidance, that is all that Matters.
I Have Plenty of Time, and the Rest is Just Noise.

It’s Nice to See VTI out Performing the S&P Index to Start the Year.

    S&P +2.08% YTD
    VTI +2.33% YTD
    Russell 2000 +3.49% YTD

    C’Mon Small Caps!

Another Big Rally for Early 2023 and Another Beat on the S&P Index.

    Movers Today:
    SOFI +6.22%
    DAL +3.59%
    NCLH +2.61%
    PARA +1.74%
    XOM +1.49%

Laggard Today was SPG (Simon Property Group, INC.) Losing -1.24%.
Me thinks SPG has been Selling off due to News from Lululemon and Macy's Earlier in the Week for Revised Q4 2022 Sales and Margin Guidance.

CPI Number will be Released Thursday Morning.
    Up or Down?
    Who Cares.

I am Ready for Earnings Friday AM.
