I am confident that this stock will make another run at some point in time. The only question is when...

This is from the Earnings Call Transcript November 16, 2018
"This program is officially called DE-FOA-0001817. We have that number here. And under that, there is no limitation on how many times an applicant can apply or reapply. This FOA, as it's called for Funding Opportunity Announcement, is going to be opened continuously for the 5 years that started on December 7, 2017. And application deadlines are quarterly each year: on January 31, April 30, July 31, October 31. There's no obligation on DOE regarding the timing of their decision announcements after each of those application deadlines. But thus far, through these now 3 application cycles, the award announcements have ranged from about 10 to 15 weeks after the application deadline. This was the longest one at about 15 weeks."

"There was also a question on last quarter's conference call on this subject. Our answer is the same. The answer is still no. We're not planning that. We disclosed last Friday in our 10-Q filing that we had received a deficiency notice from the NASDAQ because the closing bid was below $1 for 30 consecutive business days. We have 180 days, about half a year, to get back to $1 for 10 consecutive business days. And even after 180 days go by, we could appeal and show NASDAQ a plan to get the stock price over $1 of an additional 180 days. We're planning on hitting some important milestones that will do that. We'd also like to see these milestones get the stock price over $5 per share, which we think could help attract more institutional investors. It's what we hear from them."

Lightbridge Reports Financial Results for 2018 and Provides Business Update Regarding Enfission and Other Developments

Seth Grae, President & Chief Executive Officer of Lightbridge Corporation, commented, “We continue to make progress advancing our metallic nuclear fuel. Specifically, we have begun substantive discussions to finalize our first commercial utility agreement. At the same time, we are working closely with Framatome through the Enfission joint venture to prepare the fuel fabrication facility in Richland, Washington, which will be used to manufacture the nuclear fuel assemblies.”

“In addition to commercial support, we have also witnessed growing governmental support for advanced nuclear fuels. This support includes funding for advanced technologies, as well as production of high assay low enriched uranium (HALEU) for nuclear fuels, including ours. We recently submitted a new grant application to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in late January 2019 and expect to hear back within several months.

"So as Seth mentioned, we'll have up to November, the first week in November of 2019 to come back into NASDAQ compliance. And with the upcoming milestones that the company is working to achieve, we expect not to do a reverse stock split and to meet that $1 closing bid price for 10 consecutive days."

Two things to watch out for in the coming months:

    1) Contract with a major electric company that will be using LTBR's metallic rods

    2) Approval of a grant from the Department of Energy

On April 4, 2019, the Gateway for Accelerated Innovation in Nuclear initiative of the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Nuclear Energy (“GAIN”) announced that Framatome USA has been awarded a nuclear energy voucher to accelerate the application of a metallic fuel design using Lightbridge technology.

"I was recently honored to have been invited, along with leading nuclear power industry executives, to meet with President Donald J. Trump at the White House to discuss a variety of issues relating to nuclear energy. We have also witnessed bipartisan congressional support for nuclear power, as there is a growing need for reliable and sustainable baseload energy with low emissions. Importantly, our fuel enables an existing nuclear power plant to produce even more non-carbon energy than it can with current fuels. Given recent government actions, coupled with industry backing, we have more confidence than ever in the commercial potential for our fuel."

The next few weeks will be interesting
Last year the Grants Awards were released on July 10th.
    https://gain.inl.gov/SitePages/DE-FOA-0001817.aspx

I believe there is a good chance that in the coming weeks the contract will be signed with a major electric company that will be using LTBR's metallic rods. This should positively influence the decision of DOE. The voucher for Framatome is already a good sign.

The stock price will then be much higher imo.

Jeffrey S. Merrifield, Commissioner, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (1998-2007), mentions the benefits of @LightbridgeCorp metallic fuel design during his testimony on April 30th at the U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources Hearing https://bit.ly/2IYTCrZ

"Finally, I would note that the existing fleet also stands to benefit from the provisions included in Section 7. Lightbridge Corporation, in collaboration with Framatome, is designing a metallic fuel, utilizing HALEU, for the deployment with the existing nuclear units, that has the the potential for enhanced safety improvements over current fuel, as well provide for the ability to increase the power output of existing nuclear reactors."

Yesterday the 2019 First Quarter Earnings Call took place. Again several possible catalysts were outlined for a higher stock price near- to midterm (I will post some additional highlights next week). In view of the upcoming Grant decission by the DOE in the next 1-2 months the following is in particular of interest imo:

"February, as discussed on our last call, I was grateful to have had the opportunity to meet with President Trump and discuss Lightbridge Fuel and how the U.S. nuclear power industry helps bring the strongest nonproliferation, safety and security standards to global markets.
We also discussed the strength of nuclear suppliers from across the U.S. industry and how these strengths contribute to the domestic industrial base that is vital to American companies competing and winning overseas."

    Q1 2019 Lightbridge Corp Earnings Call - May 10, 2019

"Just last month, the gateway for accelerated innovation in nuclear or GAIN initiative of the U.S. department of energy, office of nuclear energy announced that Framatome, Inc. had been awarded a nuclear energy voucher to help accelerate licensing of the Lightbridge Fuel design. This GAIN nuclear energy voucher further validates DOEs support for our technology which bodes well for future opportunities. DOE established gain to provide the nuclear community with technical, regulatory, and financial support to advance innovative nuclear technologies toward commercialization.

While our focus is on developing fuel for large Western pressurized water reactors Andrey mentioned the 17x17 reactors, we're also seeing increased interest in Lightbridge Fuel for other types of reactors. We expect to have upcoming news on this subject."
