If it breaks above those highs it could be the re-start of another rally in Techs, PC's, etc. Worth checking out who they partner with
Well I made $127 on the 49 put I sold a month ago that expired but did not come close to getting the stock. Checking option chain today and it does not look that attractive to sell another put. Yield is to low at this point to make a long term income buy at least for my standards.
Just sold to close my Friday JUL 22 $53.50 calls and could not wait to get the Surface Book 2 when it is out.
U.S. Xbox One sales top PlayStation 4 sales in July Cumulatively, Sony's (SNE) PlayStation 4 has easily outsold Microsoft's (MSFT) Xbox One since the consoles launched in late 2013. But Microsoft's console managed to steal a beat on Sony in the U.S. in July, according to research from NPD. Microsoft's decision to drop the One's starting price to $299 ahead of the June unveiling of the Xbox One S -- it's smaller than the original One, can play 4K video and went on sale in August at a $299 start price -- likely helped. https://www.thestreet.com/story/136...optical-rally-xbox-one-sales-get-a-boost.html
It will finally diminish the difference between PS4 and XONE global sales. 10 mill+ just doesn't look good compared to 40 mill+ XONES does look good, gotta admit.
Picked up some MSFT AUG 26 58.00 calls on last Friday, hope any positive news would help on the stock price.
Bought to close leg MSFT at manual stop 57.4 for 1.05 gain on the leg; sold to open next week's strike-58 c to help planned re-short.
Microsoft announced 40B share buyback. Its stock fell. Such a waste. They should instead pay 40B dividend to shareholders. Share buyback is throwing 40B down a black hole. Instead, they should return 40B to investors and let them decide what to do with it.
Did you know Microsoft had a watch? They called it the Band, but well it's gone. We need to get a list of failed Microsoft also-ran products: Zune, Nokia, the Band, Bing, LinkedIn (just wait lol). The best you can say about Xbox is that it hasn't exactly failed. But it too is a pale imitation of the leader in its class. This company is amazing. Wonder how long their cloud service can last.
Actually, I like the LinkedIn acquisition. Microsoft has a well established enterprise clientele. Lots of companies are tied to them. They have a CRM product that is good but needs beefing up. I see them finding ways to use LinkedIn in conjunction with their CRM software as well as integrating data from Linkedin into many of their cloud applications. I do think they are well established in the cloud based applications, servers and software used to drive them. So it's not just the website LinkedIn, it is the fairly valuable business type of data that is freely accessible to them now. Just an opinion though.

Microsoft's future lies with enterprises, not customers. Don't expect that to change. Nevertheless, their list of successful products exceeds that of failed ones.
