MSFT beat earnings: Microsoft shares wobble after results top Street view Source: http://www.marketwatch.com/story/microsoft-shares-wobble-after-results-top-street-view-2017-01-26
Quick answer is yes. But, since about October 2016 when it first broke 60 that set a new all time high from Dec 99 when the all time high was set at about 59.90 so any new 52 week high since October has been a new all time high. Something tells me it's not done yet.
Oh, I am sure it's not done yet. CEO Nadella is the best thing that's happened to Microsoft. Jumping from $30 to $65 for two years in no small feat. Under Ballmer they were stuck at $30s for a decade.
I'm afraid that the markets are going to shudder at Trump's immigrant ban. I'm long on microsoft and cautiously optimistic.
It wouldn't (other than affecting the market as a whole). Just someone trying to relate two completely unrelated events together. Either that, or he's just stating 2 separate opinions in the same sentence. I believe he just picks 2-4 stocktwits posts on random stocks a day, not sure if they're even his and posts them here. Maybe his post would look better if he said: 1. I'm afraid that the markets are going to shudder at Trump's immigrant ban IN THE SHORT TERM. 2. I'm long on MSFT and cautiously optimistic IN THE LONG TERM.
@Clair Tech companies bring in workers on visas, who are most of the time more willing, driven, and qualified than their American counterparts. This article does a good job explaining one of the impacts of Trumps immigration policies. IMO these companies could now be forced to outsource their work instead of bringing these workers to the states. http://economictimes.indiatimes.com...ace-for-tough-future/articleshow/56887602.cms
^^ What he said. @Clair Unfortunately, you will not get a "response" back from @fidelgeorge. He's a copy paste user. @T0rm3nted hit it spot on IMO. This guy simply just picks out a few random ideas from Stocktwits and posts them onto the related threads here. Usually it's 3 posts every morning at around 4-5AM eastern time from what I have observed for the past year now. He logs in, makes his 3 posts and then disappears for the rest of the day......
Microsoft ($MSFT) announced the appointment of LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman to its board of directors. The software giant also declared a quarterly dividend of $0.39 per share.
MSFT Layoffs this week. Supposed to be "thousands" laid off. Hopefully not all on the redmond campus... https://www.geekwire.com/2017/micro...-thousands-part-massive-sales-reorganization/
I'm still bullish, but the sentiment is just too high to justify the risk when my options expire tomorrow. If I had stock, I'd hold
