Northrop Grumman beats Street 3Q forecasts FALLS CHURCH, Va. (AP) _ Northrop Grumman Corp. (NOC) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $602 million. The Falls Church, Virginia-based company said it had profit of $3.35 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $3.02 per share. The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 10 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.81 per share. The defense contractor posted revenue of $6.16 billion in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $5.98 billion. Northrop Grumman expects full-year earnings to be $11.55 to $11.75 per share, with revenue in the range of $23.9 billion to $24.1 billion. Northrop Grumman shares have increased 16 percent since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index has risen almost 5 percent. The stock has increased 22 percent in the last 12 months.
