NVIDIA Sees Growth Opportunity for Gaming in Emerging Markets Semiconductor companies adopt leverage strategy In the previous two parts of this series, we saw that NVIDIA (NVDA) adopted a two-part business model where it increased its reach through platform and network strategy. It optimized costs through leverage and scale strategy. Qualcomm (QCOM) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) are also looking to adopt the leverage strategy. They are seeking adjacent markets where they can use their ARM and x86 chipsets, respectively. NVIDIA is looking to grow in the gaming space by targeting a larger network in the emerging markets and addressing the need for advanced technologies. IKR! This is so mindblowing to me how people spent absurd money on Titan X and what not and now this beaty is coming out (talking about 1070 primarily here). Way to go nVidia.

Ooh! GTX 1080 overclocked 3DMARK Performance leaked http://www.overclock3d.net/articles/gpu_displays/gtx_1080_overclocked_3dmark_performance_leaked/1 The 3DMARK performance of Nvidia's GTX 1080 has been leaked, showcasing some impressive performance gains for Nvidia's new flagship GPU. At this time, we cannot confirm whether the legitimacy of this data, especially when all the comparison data is not likely to be from similarly spec'd systems so please take this information with a grain of salt. Below are performance numbers from 3DMARK 11's Extreme and Performance modes and 3DMARK's Fire Strike modes for Nvidia's GTX 1080, which have been compared to all current high-end product from AMD and Nvidia from the GTX 970/R9 390 and up. On average the GTX 1080 was around 2x as powerful as a GTX 970 or a R9 390, with the GTX 980Ti only managing to achieve 76% of the GTX 1080's performance on average in all the tests. When the GTX 1080 was overclocked to boost clock speeds of 2114MHz, the GPU gained around 24% more performance, which makes it significantly faster than Nvidia's Titan X and GTX 980Ti, but do remember that these GPU can overclock too.
These are not official numbers, they may very well be fake, but we find out more next week when the NDAs come off.
True but I can't imagine it being much smaller than the official numbers. Still very much looking forward to these cards.
NVDA Run and volume dries up --> Fear increases --> Bear takes over --> Stock falls --> You cry. It's about fundamentals at this point.
