Another one that baffles me....$37B market cap with less the $1B in annual revenues. Pardon, they made just over $1B last year. So only trading at 37x revenues.....eyes rolling
I got into Shopify. SHOP 3 years ago because its a great company and market leader. Fast forward and I’m up 800% on $75k investment. Nice! ( about 9% of portfolio). Is it time to get out w PE ratio over 800? The company will be here in 5 years, but not sure about the price. How do you look at its valuation say compared to a PTON?
lol is that site still around? i remember first stumbling across ihub back in 2004 i think it was. there was no other stock-related community at the time aside from the garbage yahoo boards i guess. until i had stumbled across hsm (our former community) in 2006. phew! and thank goodness for that. have not looked back since! man those were there days!
SHOP is impossible to predict. Take out a chunk to recover your 75k (and even bit more to preserve the massive wealth you have here, especially if it will make a significant difference in your quality of life) and ride the rest! I've been holding a bit longer than you, but pulled my initial investment out long ago. Still holding 54% of my original position with no intent to sell. Funny story- I set a stink bid buy order on SHOP with very little research because I was disappointed that a similar low ball bid failed on Canopy Growth (back when pot was all the rage the first time). Then went on vacation and forgot about it. Came home and the order triggered and I was already up 20%!
