Busy day here, not really keep up with the markets/news ... but just checking things now and noticing a bit of a spike in the dollar here ... was there any news?
That said the dollar is pretty oversold here, it was bound to bounce sooner or later. Looks like markets coming off just a little. Nothing too dramatic.
No problem Cy, interestingly the major indexes did selloff a little too after that comment from Trump
whelp, the SPX recorded its 13th closing ATH for jan. (a record for any january), and could be looking at setting a record for the most closing ATHs for any month in history. just saw a stat at the close that showed the most closing ATHs in any month in history for the SPX was in June of 1955 which saw 16 closing ATHs. if SPX closes green for the last 4 trading days of this month will = new record.
Haha definitely wouldn't be surprised if we set the new record, this market is just so strong right now
starting to wonder if this is "selling into strength" in anticipation for the "surprise!! it's time for a correction" thing....
yep...slow moving markets made me shut down and give up trading for the day...now I see we're $20+ on the SPX....crazy
Yeah last year was more of slow and steady rise, this year we are seeing a bigger move and mostly to the upside
Market pretty much closed at HOD, big caps outperformed small caps by a pretty big margins, so the big rally today probably had something to do with the weaker dollar.
