I assume the market wants up now, because that has changed to 125/332. Eating away at all of those shorts.
I hate to spam this thread, but I'm not used to seeing the BID/ASK so unbalanced. It's completely flipped now. Now it's 781/89. Very interesting.
Yeah that seems pretty volatile. Thanks for sharing @Baggi. Gonna have to watch closely tomorrow to see what the deal is
As long as interest rates remain low I feel like this market will continue to grind higher. We will see how fast the Congress will move to the tax reform now after the failure of healthcare bill.
I remember when I was a junior in college back in 09/10 and I told my dad to invest in NFLX. I'll bet he wishes he would have listened to me.
In ref to HOG above, I've noticed a bunch of used cycles for sale and getting cheaper. Since everybody keeps them in great shape and I remember they couldn't keep up with demand in the 90s, I wonder if the market is saturated and killing new sales? Sorry if this is out of place, I'm new here and it sparked my interest.
All I know is I am in oil and gas sector so that is the only contribution I can make, i see lots of things happening that maybe others can't so if you have any questions... I am happy to answer. and be of help if I can.
I have to say the charts are so fantastic and easy to read.. kuddos to the moderator for those. I went on fidelity and tried to watch their videos yesterday on all these crazy charts with "candlesticks" "clouds".. high/lows etc... I know I may sound ridiculously but I do not know anything about this so I amtrying to educate myself.
I think the peole that have bought HOGS all these years are getting older and you don't have the young people coming in behind and getting into motocycling, they are into computers, tech and texting, outdoor activites llike hiking, bicycling, my kids and their compadres just do not get the motorcycle thing..you also dont have kids learning how to work on machines with dads when they are young anymore..most guys would go in the garage and tinker around with their fathers on cars, bikes and all sorts of things... who does that anymore?
That's a good point on HOG as well. Another point to remember though is that for a lot of riders this is the only bike on the market.
A lot of the younger guys I see do not have any problem getting a Honda or Suzuki, Im not sure if its a national trend, but they don't see Harley as the be-all of motorcycles like the older days. Price is obviously an issue too, but one thing that has not changed is the brand value, Harely still dominates in that.
Now they tinker on their Dads laptop, removing the malware and installing ublock to prevent more malicious popups. Its the same thing, just modern day version of tinkering!
