Chinese stocks enter bear market as trade war heats up

The benchmark Shanghai Composite slid into bear market territory on Tuesday, closing more than 20% below its recent high in January.The index fell 0.5% on the day.

Not looking too good in China and Hong Kong. Chinese Yuan is weakening now too. Weakening YUAN is actually good for exporters out of China.

Under Trump everything is going to become bad again. His make America great again will be the exact opposite of what he said. Perhaps best to short all market pops until trade dispute is resolved with China

 

The SPX is testineg that 2750 level as I mentioned earlier. It hit 2746 thus far. i am thinking of exiting somewhere between 2745 to 2750 for profit taking. Recall, I entered at 2709

I missed out on my VXX buy signal @ 36.87 due to $10 of buying power... son of a.......

Wow that was a pretty big turnaround from the open Energy stocks enjoying another nice day

 

I missed out on exiting with 66% of my long. I only exited 33% at 2745. But I am not going to exit the 66% at this level [2712]

 

I have different thoughts as to what is likely to happen at this point. But, exiting at 2712 is not one of them. The price shall shall test that 2730 level at some point--I am not necessarily saying it shall happen today. I shall have to assess what to do once the price is testing at that level

 

Ideally, for the bulls, the price closes at around 2720

 

The SPX closed pretty much at LOD Interestingly the dollar is actually having a very good day

 

The price shall test that 2730 level at some point according to my theory. I should have exited 100% at 2745. But, I may have to exit at around 2730 later on. But, of course, all is relative. I have to see what the price action is like when the 2730 level is tested. Yea, not a positive close for the bulls at all

 

Was looking if I could find anything to buy, but not much on my watchlist was down enough except for some Chinese Internet stocks, I guess I hope the market will go down some more in the coming days

 

Right. I could average in at around 2680. Again, I expect to exit at 2730 or higher at some point. Again,not from a day trade perspective but a swing trade perspective

I bought TDOC on the dip. I'm still holding SQ, deciding to hold is a kind of buying.
Considering buying more LMNX, want to see what happens tomorrow.
