Is Yellen going to say something tragic again, like stocks are overpriced?

 

Probably not, I don't think the FED Minutes will mention something like that

 

The dollar has been getting hammered lately, lets see if it gets a bounce if the Minutes are hawkish

Seems like bonds higher and the dollar lower after the Minutes

 

Last Wednesday almost fees like didn't happen at all

 

XLU hitting new ATH The safety trade is still on

 

cnbc has been talking about the run in netflix and amazon, and looking back at it, the FANG stocks all have been huge in revolutionizing things.

so my question to you all is what current stocks do you feel fundamentally can revolutionize something? what current stocks are the FANG stocks of the next 15 years?

 

For me Tesla, at least I hope it will be successful because it is a company that could change the world

 

Thanks will be interesting to see if we hit a new ATH tomorrow, maybe we could finally have a breakout after being in tight range for so long

 

People seem to be able to find something to buy no matter what in this market. If interest rates are lower, let's buy some utilities and staples. If interest rates are higher, let's buy some banks

 

Same thing here. I keep my eye on the Dow Transports to keep the faith.

 

I think the thing that stands out is convenience and cut-rate prices. Amazon used to have great Black Friday sales, Netflix has made it possible to really decrease entertainment costs, Facebook/Google are free to use just have to put up with ads.

Sorry I don't really have stocks in mind right now, but things that I am looking forward to:
- food delivery, because even 20 minutes of cooking/preparation seems so daunting even now
- virtual reality, being able to go somewhere without leaving your home. This can be a great educational tool, and no parent will dare to not buy it.

 

hmm, good point, Tesla is definitely revolutionizing on multiple fronts, now its up to whether they catch on main stream and when will they be profitable.

i can really see food delivery and virtual reality being mainstream in the future, i dont have many ideas as far as food delivery, but as for Virtual reality, it is possible facebook could be a part of this, even though it is already a FANG stock, it is still so young of a stock, only 5 years, could facebook be a stock destined to make a epic run in the next 10 years or is it a Fad that will eventually die out?

 

Food delivery is already a hot topic in Asia where population density is much higher.
There are numerous billion worth startup related to that. One click away and the food at your door in 20 minutes.
I am not sure if that's feasible in the North America market where dwellings are mostly detached and semi-detach.
It might work in mega cities like LA and New York.

In terms of VR, I can see a lot can be done in the Medical training side as well as entertainment side.
