QQQ bear spread and SPY bearish diagonal is cushioning me today - closed out my VXX bear spreads as V1/V2 backwarded.
Make that a rough day for SVXY - did not take any position today, but I probably will be making some tomorrow in SVXY/QQQ and tonight in ES1!
European fear back on after we haven’t heard about it for awhile Maybe we get a black swan event that Cy sometimes talks about here
Market bounced back off the lows, but we probably aren’t out of the woods until the Italian bond market begins to stabilize
Didn't drop enough for me to enter. I have to re-assess tomorrow as to what level to enter, if the price continues to retrace
Made a few bucks on the /CL drop just now....time to hit the sack Tomorrow has SPY & SPX options expiration...should be interesting... China with rude language about the US sanctions once again. Starting to wonder if US & China want to keep volatility in the works. One week it's hands on each other's throats, then the next week, they're best friends again...wtf...lol Stay on your toes!
Opened a position in SPY this morning when we dropped back to the open 69 shares @ 270.50. Just opened a position in SVXY 2,470 shares @ 12.95. Edit - still holding my DUST short - looking for the gap fill at 23.19
I know the feeling. I tried to open a long /ES last night around 7ish when it was at 2688 but I hadn't closed out my DUST short and couldn't open because my equity was short by like $500 and missed this rally today.
Almost like yesterday never happened Small caps hitting new ATH once again today Bank stocks still in the red for the week though after the massive selloff yesterday
i wasnt expecting such a huge move, sold calls on my LABU position today at 95 strike around the start of the day, as soon as i sold it, like 15 minutes later, option prices exploded, i got played lol.
Trump administration is planning to impose tariffs on EU steel and aluminum: Dow Jones, citing sources https://www.cnbc.com/2018/05/30/tru...el-and-aluminum-dow-jones-citing-sources.html Not a huge reaction for the market as of now although the SPY did move from green to now slightly red after this news is released.
I wasn't expecting such a huge move either, more than Asia/Europe got. CRSP down 20% after hours, FDA hold on sickle-cell drug application. FDA needs time to submit questions to CRSP/VRTX, then the companies can respond.
Closed SVXY position right before the close @ 12.97 for a small gain. Will close SPY position at open today for a nice gain. Still holding DUST short - just won't fill that gap yet.
