Since I had some success with NIO, I got in a small position with XPEV at $42.06 for fun, I think these EV stocks are in a huge bubble but I am up 70% for XPEV and won't complain about it
They are making extremely large daily moves. I won't call it a bubble, but those daily moves can't keep up. edit to add a picture:
Biden mentioned some of his cabinet members, and I believe I saw Yellen in there. Not sure if it's confirmed I only saw it in passing.
Former Fed Chair Janet Yellen reportedly Biden pick for Treasury Secretary https://finance.yahoo.com/amphtml/n...en-pick-for-treasury-secretary-201233279.html
Aww, thank you soooo much for this post @kyleh2k20. You have no idea how much it means to me to hear that. You rock sir! Honestly didn't think my absence would be noticed too much nowadays as it has been a while now. I do sincerely apologize if I have been so inactive on the forum lately. I really wouldn't want to bore you guys out with a novel of reason why this is. But, in short, I'll just say that my interest in the market has seriously waned of late. It really all started back during the summer, and it's just gradually gotten to the point to where I'm at right now. Kind of not really paying attention to anything market related anymore. Couple this with the passings (non-covid related) that have occurred in my family this year for me, and that has pretty much largely kept me away from board, and interest in the market for now. That isn't to say that I've completely lost interest, and that I'm off to some other hobbies, etc. No, I still do try to catch some of the action whenever I can! Nevertheless, I still do try to make an effort to log in here and update some of the threads every week, such as the earnings threads, etc. And, I am still officially the weekly market thread started here. That won't be changing anytime soon at least I can tell you that much. But, as far as being more active and posting more regularly like the good old days may not happen for a while yet still. I am also in the process of looking for a new home (maybe), so that will likely eat up a lot of my time in the near future as well unfortunately. Anyway, I do greatly appreciate your kind words! For this board would seriously not be possible without all of you who contribute so much amazing content! Seriously do mean that. Happy Thanksgiving to all of our members here! Hope you guys all have an amazing holiday with your families and friends. It has been tough for a lot of families though with COVID this year. But, I hope you guys can get a chance to be with you families during this week especially. I know I will be! Thanks again for all of you who keep these threads active! I seriously cannot stress this enough. Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!
Oh wow! This admittedly completely caught me off guard lol. Can't say that I thought we'd get a 30K print during COVID haha. It feels kinda weird seeing a 3-handle now.
Good to hear from you Cy. Happy Thanksgiving to you and I hope you can find the house that you like. Hope to see you more next year, maybe the crash like we did back in March would help
Mostly a seller today for my bank and energy holdings, still holding JPM, C and HES, etc though since I am still losing money from them but I sold DB, DFS and CVX for a little bit of a profit today, I didn’t think I could sell them for profit anytime soon since my entry point was poor but I got a little lucky with the recent market rotation
Happy Thanksgiving guys. I will check the market a little bit late on Friday but I guess I will see most of you next Monday
What the heck is going on with APPN? It's not a meme stock, not a car play (they allow you to create "apps" with little coding skill), but 30% in a non-ER day. I'm checking the Top Stocks to Own on barchart.com today, sorting by lowest RSI since it's the end of the month. Trying to get an eye on what might be moving next month. Created a free account there. Btw on TradingView the Black Friday sale is ending in ~2 days.
Don't know anything about APPN Seems like it had earnings earlier this month but yeah it is a big move
SNOW still running Too bad I got out of it. Crazy valuations though, I took a quick look on Yahoo, Price/Sales is over 140
GME might actually turn itself back up, the partnership with Microsoft is huge. Coincidentally, I'm a fan of MSFT if you want to invest in video games. They have one of the best consoles (heh in a market of 2 or 3) and may start a digital game rental service; I see them as owning the way you play games (they also have been buying up many small-ish studios) which makes them more appealing than EA/ATVI/TTWO/etc.
