McConnell shoots down bipartisan $900 billion coronavirus stimulus plan as stalemate drags on https://www.cnbc.com/2020/12/01/coronavirus-stimulus-update-senators-to-unveil-relief-bill.html Market off HOD right now
Salesforce ($CRM) acquiring Slack ($WORK). So CRM down after their ER. Each Slack shareholder will receive $26.79 in cash and 0.0776 Salesforce shares per share. Looks like that works out to 40M shares that CRM will be giving up; they have 900M shares outstanding.
Not much of a pop for WORK after the announcement, but people who bought right after the rumor leaked last week still make some decent money
Nah there's no requirement for making money. Just CRM is a pretty drastic departure from the typical Dow stock. Usually they're blue chips that pay a dividend. I mean NVDA pays a dividend, probably would have been a better choice for the Dow too since they actually produce a physical product. Not that NVDA needs to be in the Dow to increase in share price. I think I'm just flabbergasted that it took so long for TSLA to make it to the S&P, meanwhile the Dow "panic added" CRM to try to seem more hip.
Earnings after the bell for popular names like SNOW, RH and CRWD. SNOW will be especially interesting to watch, a company with strong growth but also extremely expensive valuations

CRWD has got resistance at 150. I'm still working on my ER predictions I'll predict this goes down, maybe even -10% on ER?
SNOW getting hit a little bit after earnings, very hard to impress the market when the valuations are sky high

Chinese firms could get boot from U.S. exchanges as Congress clears bill. Recently several U.S.-listed Chinese firms have carried out secondary listings in Hong Kong, which would become more frequent if the law takes effect.
