gotta give out some big time props where props is certainly due here ... @Jrich has been calling for 2590 on the cash S&P (this was when we were still 200 or so handles lower than we are!!) and we basically hit that today! very nice call and some serious recognition from the community here @Jrich curious to hear your input for where you think we may go from here. thx!
Thanks CY! I did call 2590.. but when i went back and re-counted, i get 2580 Either way, we are there.... next target looks like 2720..... still bullish
So no crash ... ever! These are historically strong months we are in now. Usually an Oct swoon leads to Nov-Dec xmas rallies, is nobody bearish out there at all?
yep ... in fact the next 3 months in particular (nov thru jan) are historically the strongest months for the markets out of the year. we've gone almost the whole year w/o dipping -3% on the SPX ... if it happens that'll be the first time ever. markets up at ATHs for what seems like a daily basis. typically i would see this as pretty overextended and a pullback being imminent ... we'll get a one day dip that might look like the start of something meaningful on the downside, only to have it rip back to new highs the next day. rinse and repeat.
Pretty big turnaround by SBUX from after the close yesterday. It was down like 5% at one point after reporting earnings
