Nice rebound for the market so far this week after a volatile week last week We have the FED tomorrow so there should be some volatility again tomorrow
Today is Apple’s event? Man I didn’t even remember it is today, this kind of event used to be super hyped up by the media but I guess not anymore
WTO rules US tariffs on China illegal. https://apnews.com/58a89252300408e255ed3a9a26004091 Countdown to Trump ripping the WTO... It may be a stretch, but maybe China uses this ruling to say TikTok does not need to be sold to US.
ARWR soaring today on good data, but my entry point was so poor that I am only up around 5% despite the stock having a great day But yeah seems like biotech is having a very good week so far
Was thinking about getting into SNOW but no way now after it soared out of the gate, gonna wait for a significant pullback first
FED coming up, usually the market will be pretty volatile on the FED day and the initial reaction usually is wrong and will be reversed, we will see what will happen this time
I don't have my ToS open so can't get news, is it really $300 today? They were going to price that at ~100.
FDX killed it last night, actually doubling their EPS. But FANG stocks still couldn't retake their 50 sma (save for AAPL). Biotechs feel like the ones to lead the market now. GILD bought IMMU, BIIB wants to buy someone, and consolidation of companies can be a good thing. ILMN makes up 5% of the IBB and wants to buy Grail. So ILMN is down (part of reason why XBI outperforming IBB today) big because they would probably have to give up equity to make that purchase. Not sure if Grail gives themselves up right now, If anything this is confirmation that they've got promise.
Stocks Stay Higher as Fed Signals Low Rates Will Remain https://www.wsj.com/articles/global-stock-markets-dow-update-9-16-2020-11600246965 So much for keeping up with the latest news. And they want ME to pay for it. This was free!
Finished the day at 253.93. Tradingview is showing +1063%, and SeekingAlpha is showing +971%. It seems to me like they mis-priced the IPO, and I think this means they missed out on raising more cash from it. Warren Buffett was all too eager to take them to the cleaners on this one; what a swell guy.
I was gifted some shares of NVDA last month with a cost basis of about $10/ea. What would you do with these, keep for the next leg up or sell and move the proceeds into safety? I look at it's chart and see the ride it's had and also hear rumblings that money will rotate out of tech soon. Thanks!
Yeah I guess they could have priced it a little higher for sure, but I guess they wanted to look good and had a great first day as well
