Hi Guys, I am working on something called StockList and wanted to get your thoughts. I figured this would be a good place to get some accurate feedback! StockList is an entry level trading platform for people bet against each other instead of the market. Our mission is to help ordinary people learn and earn in the financial markets! For example, 2 investors may enter a head to head where they create a portfolio of 5 stocks. Each investor may put in $50 - the investor with the better performing portfolio earns $97.50, StockList earns $2.50 commission, and the investor with the lower portfolio loses their principal. Users can also mitigate risk by entering pools where they compete against multiple investors. In a pool, the top third makes a 95% return, the middle third gets their principle back and the lower third loses their principle. Additional features: - Social: StockList is the first social trading platform where investors can choose who to compete against, follow for trading ideas, or make friends similar to online gaming. - Research: By bringing hacker news / reddit style commenting to each stock, StockList will be the first place with community curated stock discussions. This is important for surfacing high quality information to our investors - many of whom will use StockList as their first investing platform. Regulatory: - StockList will register with the SEC as a Broker-Dealer. - StockList will register its structured notes with the SEC allowing anyone to buy and sell them. (An example of something similar are the payment dependent notes issues by LendingClub and Prosper to investors.) - Prospectus Supplements. (Latest permutation of security combinations.
