I like how they came in very actively when this whole Yahoo thing just began, then pulled out and now they be like "We never left, give us dat piece of Yahoo".
Besides the Brazilian stocks, T is the only green I have in my portfolio today. Now back to some bargain shopping
Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Available Exclusively at AT&T Starting June 10 http://finance.yahoo.com/news/samsung-galaxy-s7-active-available-133300539.html
We all have our opinions and I'm going to throw mine in here at this price point. First, T is a very good stock. But, it is not a good play right now. For growth or swing strategies it is at it's highs with not enough catalyst at this price point to propel it rapidly up. It is not a value play as the P/E, P/B and P/S are above it's Industry average. and PEG is slightly high for value play. It is still a good long term play for an Income portfolio but I think it will become a better income play after a small pullback to get the yield back to 5% It only needs to pull back to 38.25 to get the 5% yield. We are about a month from the next ex-div date and the odds are pretty good of getting that pullback. Long term though it is not a bad buy even at this level.
T don't normally make this big of jumps of late on no news. Now selling off a little as the market is selling off
Wow, thats a nice move. It helps that I am funding this company's profits with my cell phone and tv bill!
I will think of of you every time I get my divi or the resistance level gets taken out Speaking of resistance, the 40 was just taken out with a new 52 Week high at 40.09
Yahoo bids already grew to $5 billion the second round. What are the prospects for AT&T and how far do you think the prices will go?
I can't put a number on it but T has deep enough pockets to get Yahoo if need be. It's really a crap shoot on the winner, even Buffett leads a group in the bidding.Off topic I like the way T is holding this morning with the markets melting down. Speaking of AT&T DirecTV, I just called them and threatened to leave because we hardly watch TV... knocked $40 off the bill immediately. They must be making so much money from people that dont bother negotiating lower bills.
I had 2 Directv accounts for me and my Mom and tried get my bill straightened out 4 times even going to retention to no avail. With that I signed with Centurylink and during the install I called Directv to cancel and got the nicest rep that said she would fix the bill but I told her it was a little late now, but she cut my Mom's bill in half. Now I get these emails offering me $200 to come back
