Been inactive for a bit in the market because I foolishly stepped all the way out, beating myself up daily for being out of AMD on the run from $32 to $41/share. Trying to focus on how much I've made in AMD and not how much I just left on the table. Anyways, back in PRGO today. Hopefully it goes as good as last time. Trading plan and trade confirmation is below.
Summary for 2019. Haven't updated in awhile, so here's the last few weeks, month, quarter, and yearly results. Note: Last week is highlighted because it's still ongoing. Also, I'm not positive on the exact dollar amounts for the last 2 weeks because I was out of office and not paying attention and can't be arsed to pull a report from Merrill Lynch when it's not a huge deal to be exact. They're close enough.
Out of PRGO at $55.12 for >11% gain. Looking at the chart, it's kind of disappointing that I could have made that same trade twice in that time frame.
Haven't updated in a couple weeks. Been busy and just forgot to be honest. Currently holding 2 positions, looking for discounts today. Here's my current positions
Currently still holding NFLX, VVV, SBUX, ROKU. Last 2 weeks results: Current holdings and their returns. Still sitting on far too much cash for this bull market. That'll happen though when you're closing lots of positions at your target or stop and there's little buying opportunity without pull backs. I'll keep my eyes peeled.
Last week: Though that looks like it's going to take a beating this week with the futures down nearly 3% before market open today.
Cut my losses (and 1 small win) and completely out of the market. A few 3%ish losses is no big deal. It could rebound but I don't care, it could also tank much further. I'll wait until I see a bottom and look for buying opportunities. Will post details later when I'm less busy.
Just bought some PSQ to short the market heading into trump's speech this afternoon about coronavirus and the weekend.
Right idea, but executed too early on Friday afternoon. Market tanked over the weekend as expected due to larger numbers of covid-19 cases, and cities/states closing everything. Closed today for ~+2.4% gain.
Just hopped in GRUB at $41.395. Lots of room to run. Won't hold on too long if it hasn't found a bottom yet.
Just hopped in KO at ~$47.636 with earnings coming up this week, but it's more intended for a longer-term play, looking for a 25% return or so.
Just hopped in CB for a longer term play like above. I like the room to recovery, as well as the longer term great progress that had been made to that point. Entry information and trading plan below.
