You never know what the short term markets are going to do or why. I have not looked at anything today....I have been busy working on technical issues a Cd master recording.

Anyway....I just looked at my account and I have a nice gain with....COST, NVDA, PLTR, and MSFT all GREEN. A pleasant surprise....if it holds. It is a long way to the close.

I like this little article....so true.

Why It Is Bullish When Bubble Fears Collide With Dystopia
A viral AI doomsday report is telling … but not for the reasons you think.

    https://www.fisherinvestments.com/e...llish-when-bubble-fears-collide-with-dystopia

AS to the AI disruption, doomsday BS the conclusion:

".......this is about remembering how markets work. They are sentiment-driven fools in the short term, sometimes, but in the longer run they weigh fundamentals—how corporate earnings and the factors that drive them are likely to unfold relative to expectations over the next 3 – 30 months. And as they do so, they tend to look where everyone isn’t.

So if you find yourself gravitating toward the fearful and dystopic, just go full fiction instead. Watch Blade Runner or Beyond Thunderdome. Catch a Twilight Zone marathon. When it comes to investing, stick with probabilities and facts."

AND....a little as to Social Media....which obviously impacts investing and everything else.

    Psychopathy and low cognitive ability

    https://klementoninvesting.substack.com/p/psychopathy-and-low-cognitive-ability

"Essentially, what this study shows is that people with high psychopathy and low cognitive ability are over-represented in online political discussions."

    MY COMMENT

We are very lucky that those of us that post on this thread and this site.....do NOT....fit the above and for the most part are very polite and tolerate. A very RARE thing when it comes to message board posting. WELL DONE.....to all of us.

Nice little article and a good reminder. The point is to start. Even if one thinks they are "too late" or behind. If it is an employer type plan....get the match. Research the funds available and pay attention to fees the best you can. Then keep doing it consistently and don't over tinker with it.

In addition, one could also open your own account. Roth IRA, Traditional IRA, brokerage account, or other type. Take your time and read up on which is best for your situation. I'm talking about real research, not influencers, youtubers, and all sorts of "magic."

It will make a difference in your life down the road and you will be so glad you made the decision. Take the initiative to work toward a more secure retirement. Take advantage of the opportunity.

This line from the article......"It feels like all the efforts by social media companies and message boards to create a ‘town square’ where people could meet and argue only led to a place where the village idiots gather."

    So true above.
