I believe these factories will be built on the property where my wife used to board her horses. It was bought by ELON a couple of years back for $13MILLION. A big gain for me today.......but not as big as it should have been. the markets did not get as big of a bump as they should have today. The "correction" is still intact in my view. And of course good old COST....was red today. I did also manage to beat the SP500 today by 0.43%. It will tell us a lot about the short term future.....how long this little bump up lasts.....if only a day or two....the total dominance ot the negative will still be very much intact. I would NOT chase this rally short term.....If you are a long term investor.....OK. But chasing this rally....shorter term.... is a fools game.....I dont believe it will change any of what we have been seeing happen in the markets so far this year....in the short term.....a month or two. I am STILL positive for the year as a whole.

In REALITY.....there is absolutely nothing going on today. NOTHING in the news of interest to investors. We have simply moved past the positivity of the rally yesterday and moved back to the default negativity. SO.....I will leave for now....it is a waste of time to watch.......meaningless nothingness....move the markets down. Although I will say....when I have talked about and....RANTED...about the potential for a "New Normal" that will kill the markets in the future as the short term BS infects the long term.......what we are seeing for the first three months of this year....is exactly what I am talking about. Good and great EARNINGS that dont matter, positive fundamental news and releases that dont matter, an obsessive media focus on the negative every day...etc, etc, etc.
I will give him credit for being a big thinker for sure. A very ambitious plan. The article is kind of a fluff piece, but I suspect it is early and specifics are somewhat limited. A lot to unpack as far as logistics, material supply, talent and so on. I think the last I read the TSMC plant was up and running in AZ. Reportedly it is also expanding operations there. We (US) should have been thinking about these sorts of resources long before now. It will be interesting to see if this comes to fruition. It is a big idea with a lot to be accomplished. We probably do not have in house talent to get it done alone, much like the plant in AZ. We had to bring folks in. We could add additional industries to this list easily. At some point I suspect some generation will be forced to address it.
Yeah, we are pretty much stuck in the war and oil environment at this point and will be the main "show." Of course the politicians will start getting nervous before too long. They always do. War is an unpredictable environment and they struggle with that. Anyway, is there anything else we would like to add to our 2026 plate this year?? We don't seem to have enough going on.
Well......IGNORING the markets today....as usual lately. I am having fun with my LIVE CD production that I continue to work on and move toward commercial release. I am in continued negotiations with the record label.....that held the contract at the time of the show. So far it appears that I will get the approvals that I need to commercially release this production. I have a few hoops to jump through....but the fact that they gave me hoops rather than a flat out "no"...is very positive. AND....I will have those hoops satisfied....... tomorrow. I am also having fun reconnecting with band mates.....from back than.....as a result of this project. We all went through a very unique experience together.....something that we have in common and no one else in the world can understand. A real BOND between us all......that is there...... regardless of having no contact for many years now. A TRUE...."band of brothers"...experience. On the ART side of my life......I will soon be filling a blank spot in my office. A painting that has been away from home in an Exhibition.....will come home this Sunday. I will be doing a little day long road trip to bring it home.
We NOW have a green DOW.....and....the SP500 and NASDAQ have come back some. A GREEN close today....after we beat back the traders and manipulators today? Perhaps. That is the best I have......"perhaps".
Well I lost MOST of what I made yesterday...not all.....but most. I had two green stocks today....COST and AAPL. I also got beat by the SP500 today in my stocks by....0.88%.
NOTE......I WILL BE GONE ALL DAY ON WEDNESDAY. I have to drive to Houston to take care of some business on my LIVE CD that I produced. I will drive back the same day.....a little 7 hour road trip...round-trip. If you can....make some money for me tomorrow.

What a small world. Elon is talking about starting with a 2nm node and scaling to 1m wafer starts per month. That's ridiculous. The rule is: Don't bet against Elon Musk. I won't bet on Elon Musk to fail but I will bet on him to wildly miss that target in any reasonable time frame. If he can hit that target in 10 years, twice his projected, I will still consider that a win. I'm 99% sure the federal government is behind this idea. They need to re-shore IC production and this is a good fit, since Elon needs it for his purpose, anyway. Meanwhile, Tesla is actively hiring in Taiwan in attempt to poach engineers from TSMC.
