OIL.....yes....$69 a barrel. I heard some puffed up MEDIA MORON the other day....spouting the usual fear mongering BS....that oil would take a YEAR to get back to normal. NO....it took about....THREE DAYS....we are already there.
Seeing the MU market yesterday and today....makes we wonder about people having the earnings numbers early. Or...at least the inevitable MEDIA stories that will follow the earnings. I am basically IGNORING the markets today.....not going to WASTE my time.
Good old PLTR.....now in the RED for the past 14 months. We are all the way back to May 1 of 2025 at the current price. ALL....in spite of massive beats on the last 4 earnings reports over that time. This is....compliments of the HUGE short attack on the stock....which continues. I continue, and will continue, to hold my shares. I STILL have a bit over a 100% gain on my shares.
WELL.....DUH......and the cause will be "YOU" and all the rest of the AI TRADERS making it happen. JPMorgan raises S&P 500 target to 7,800 but warns of 'flash crash' https://finance.yahoo.com/markets/a...-7800-but-warns-of-flash-crash-145240724.html ....."The outlook warns that speculative momentum trading in secondary AI stocks has become so extreme that the market "is at risk of a reversal and continues to face high probability of a flash-crash." A flash crash occurs when there is a sudden, steep drop in asset prices, usually followed by a rebound.".... I will say that what we saw yesterday was a.....MINI-FLASH-CRASH. We are seeing these mini-crashes nearly every week now. I dont recall this sort of market action before about 2-4 years ago. AND....there is ZERO fundamental reason for these little events.
Welcome to the party. Bitcoin falls back under $60,000, hitting its lowest level since October 2024 https://www.cnbc.com/2026/06/24/bit...ting-its-lowest-level-since-october-2024.html
OK. Micron tops Q3 earnings estimates, offers better-than-expected outlook and declares dividend https://finance.yahoo.com/technolog...-outlook-and-declares-dividend-113000152.html ....."For Q4, the company says it expects to bring in between $49 billion and $51 billion in revenue. Wall Street was projecting revenue of $43.2 billion. For the quarter, Micron reported earnings per share (EPS) of $25.11 on revenue of $4.63 billion. Analysts were anticipating EPS of $20.39 and revenue of $35.1 billion, according to Bloomberg analyst consensus estimates."....
Micron stock jumps 10% as soaring prices from memory crunch lead to quadrupling of revenue https://www.cnbc.com/2026/06/24/micron-mu-earnings-report-q3-2026.html "Micron’s revenue more than quadrupled in the fiscal third quarter, the company said on Wednesday, as the memory maker continued to benefit from soaring demand tied to the artificial intelligence boom. The stock rose about 10% in extended trading. Here’s how the memory maker did versus LSEG consensus estimates: Revenue: $41.46 billion versus $35.84 billion estimated EPS: $25.11, adjusted, versus $20.78 estimated Revenue increased from $9.3 billion a year earlier, Micron said in a statement. For the current quarter, the company said it expects revenue of about $50 billion, up from $11.3 billion a year earlier. Analysts were looking for a revenue forecast of $43.58 billion, according to LSEG."....
UP by $137 after hours....which is meaningless. AND....does not remotely come close to making up for the losses of the past two days in the stock. SO.....sorry...BORING. I will wait and see how it closes tomorrow and on Friday.
YES....a MASSIVELY HUGE BEAT. Here is what I like: ....."Micron’s gross margin, the profit left after accounting for the cost of goods sold, jumped to 84.9% in the third quarter from 74.9% in the prior period and 39% a year earlier"..... AND ....."Micron said on Wednesday that it expects tight conditions for memory to persist beyond 2027, due to AI-driven demand. The company also said that it has signed 16 long-term agreements with customers such as data center operators and automakers that lock in sales for a period of three to five years.".....
I think the question for Micron speculators is, what do they know about the company and the memory markets? Do they know anything at all? The market seems to be exclusively driven by people who have no knowledge of the company, their products, or the market they operate in. Casino mode.
A MEDIUM loss for me today with only two green stocks....COST and AMZN. AND...I got beat today in my stocks by the SP500 by...0.41%.
I have to leave son for an eye appointment. My initial appointment for cataract surgery. So I will miss most of the morning if not all day. But a few quick posts.
YES....for us Baby Boomers....this is a HUGE issue. The new retirement problem is figuring out how to spend it safely https://www.usatoday.com/story/mone...01k-savings-how-spend-wirhdrawal/90658270007/
Unfortunately TRUE. Everything is Beating the S&P 500 This Year https://awealthofcommonsense.com/2026/06/everything-is-beating-the-sp-500-this-year/ ....."Here’s a list of the asset classes outperforming the S&P 500 in 2026 through the close on Monday: Small caps (IWM) +21.7% Value stocks (VTV) +15.1% Small cap value (AVUV) +20.9% Emerging markets (EEM) +30.8% REITs (VNQ) +10.3% Mid caps (VO) +11.3% Dividend stocks (VYM) +11.7%"..... YES....this is due to the TOTAL disrespect of the big cap tech stocks that dominate the top of the SP500....for them...success and earnings do not matter.
The open today.....although the NASDAQ is NOWHERE near the big gains it was showing in the futures. Stocks rise after Micron’s strong earnings, in-line inflation data https://www.cnbc.com/2026/06/24/stock-market-today-live-updates.html
