This looked like a good technical break out yesterday. Good volume, news event and push above a downtrend, but the resistance levels from $212 held and sellers took the stock all the way back down to roughly the opening range, which is not what you want to see on a potential breakout. Bulls can put the party hat back on when that $212 gets taken out!
I actually like it better in that range, if it cant find buyers up here, let it come down, nice xmas present at lower levels.
https://www.tesla.com/blog/tesla-and-solarcity Great! Uh, this doesn't sound like a good thing to me. You need to sell cars and solar panels, and you're going to have the same staff do both things? It's not that easy. Who walks into a car dealership to buy a solar roof? Costs are weighing heavy on someone's mind. Quoted for posterity. Pretty specious argument for why a merger needs to be done. So if Tesla owners also like Netflix, then Musk will acquire NFLX too?
$TSLA is having problems after Donald Trump was elected President. Tesla (TSLA) is a strong buy below $180 going forward.
Tesla’s solar roof to cost less than a regular roof It made sense. Solar energy is already competitive in several markets and while the price of the solar roof could be more expensive than a regular roof as an upfront investment, those electricity savings would quickly add up and made the product competitive with normal roofing solutions. https://electrek.co/2016/11/17/tesl...roof-even-before-energy-production-elon-musk/
$TSLA old European car manufacturers move now very quickly with e-cars!!! Would not even consider tesla longterm anymore!

remember that consumers was worrying after the first accident on autopilot, fatal! they have already fixed sensors reaction to white trailers?
I see long term as bullish. However, near term we might suffer a little more. Don't think the bottom is in yet, I will have cash ready. Just in case it got below $180 again. Bear seem to be in control after news of merger. Will add more if it get under $180
The Tesla Shock: Global Gasoline Consumption Has All But Peaked The International Energy Agency forecasts that global gasoline consumption has all but peaked as more efficient cars and the advent of electric vehicles from new players such as Tesla Motors Inc. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/tesla-shock-global-gasoline-consumption-000102945.html
The fact that this stays stable after attacks from multiple interest groups (utility, oil companies, car dealers) is impressive. Tesla will be volatile until release of M3, then it flies as it will change the market for both energy and autos.
Somehow I don't like it for a short. I feel this will turn bullish soon. short term charts are still bearish but not much down target
