Shorting the stock is for braver souls than I. Puts limited lose maximum gains. You reckon he wants it to go down a hair so Cathie, Chemath and TOM B can load up. Sometimes the little birdie tweet tweets for a reason. Conspiracies ensue.
Been out for a while due to the power outage, burst pipes and the insurance claim..... Every dip is a buying opportunity for me.Got one Jan 20 2023 $420C this morning and still holding my Jan 20 2023 $200C.
It has been tough for my family as we did not have power and water for almost two days. Houston reached a low of 10°F last week. Once the power was back the pipes bursted, it took more than 3 days to get a plumber to fix them. Now finally back to normal and it is time to make some $$$.
That was awful, glad you guys are okay. Looks like power is back up fairly well. This is a good site to observe the grids. Usefull for weather related plays.
Like apple pie and Chevrolet. Both have some wild swings and keep people scratching their heads. ELON has a unique style, the type to tell his doubters to **** off. My kind of guy.
I wasn't really looking to add more TSLA, but couldn't resist. If folks want to keep on selling because interest rates went up a few basis points, I might end up adding some more.
any traders out there thinking of jumping back in on the pullback? some quick scalping? yes/no/maybe? bueller, beuller?
The two week line stoppage at Fremont may be be directly caused by the global semiconductor shortage. This, according to Teslarati. None of my other sources have chimed in on this, yet. Meanwhile, I've been doing some speculation on battery architectures and I believe the tabless 4680 cell to be drastically superior in it's ability to scale to pouch cell and even prismatic designs. The ability to produce more 4680 cells in a smaller footprint and a shorter period of time is a deal breaker for other technologies. The company with the most scalable battery platform will win this competition. At the moment, that is Tesla by a wide margin. I don't understand solid state designs well enough to speculate on their ability to scale. The solid metal anode should be helpful but I have no idea how they can scale the solid electrolyte component effectively. I won't bother addressing this further, as I do not understand.
BTW, there is a rumor the dry anode production techniques Elon talked about on Battery day are now being tested in the new Semis and are likely to be the construction approach for all Semi cells. Again, a rumor but plausible. What I think almost no one understands is that EV manufacturers are selling batteries on wheels. The more GWh you can sell, the more money you can make. Everyone, including Tesla, is battery constrained. The world is battery constrained. Tesla's claims of 300+ Wh/kg with their dry anode 4680 cell is impressive but it really comes down to the ability to manufacture the cells quickly. A 500 Wh/kg solid state battery is a losing platform if it does not scale as well as Tesla's 300 Wh/kg battery platform. At the end of the day, they are selling Wh/$ and they need Wh to do it. The point behind dry anode is to drastically reduce the time required to dope anodes with an emulsion and then dry them with induction heat to release the solvent. From there, the solvent needs to be contained and cooled to return it to liquid form so it can be reused as it is an environmental hazard. Dry anode will allow a smaller footprint to produce cells at a higher rate and the change will be substantial. When QuantumScape indicated their batteries will have double the energy density of Tesla's batteries, I have no doubt they meant Tesla batteries being used in production circa mid 2020. The dry anode 4680 will change that, likely taking away a good portion of the SS battery's advantage. QuantumScape has been running their keyboards for quite a while. They need to produce a prototype soon, to maintain relevance. When that prototype comes out in a Volkswagen technology demonstrator, I have no doubt it will negatively impactTesla. Long term, my money remains on Tesla. I am simply predicting a blip which may cause me to re-enter Tesla as a long.
So you saying there is a chance that TSLA overtakes QS with what ever technology they promised? Effectively making QS worthless?
Apparently the SEC is looking into ELON's crypto tweets. I dont think he is overly concerned. If any of you remember the " funding secured tweet" and his response it was funny to say the least. In the end they paid the fine and the rest is history. ELON has a unique style that is second to none, its always a pleasure when he responds to my tweets. These aren't mine.
