Uber aims for 50,000 Teslas on its platform by 2023 The ride-hailing company is working with Hertz to realize its goal of 100 percent EVs by 2030 https://www.theverge.com/2021/10/27/22747184/uber-tesla-rent-drivers-hertz-cost-2023 Tesla (TSLA) PT Raised to $1,125 at Goldman Sachs Saying Hertz Order Has Many Positive Implications https://www.streetinsider.com/Analy...+Has+Many+Positive+Implications/19110012.html Ron Baron says he made $6 billion on Tesla investment, plans to be a shareholder for a long time https://www.cnbc.com/2021/10/27/ron...lans-to-be-a-shareholder-for-a-long-time.html
Piper Sandler Sets New Street-High Tesla Stock Price Target (TSLA) Piper Sandler analyst Alex Potter has issued an updated note on Tesla stock, increasing the firm's price target to the highest on Wall Street. https://www.thestreet.com/tesla/new...new-street-high-tesla-stock-price-target-tsla
Tesla has contracted CATL to provide 45GWh of lithium iron cells to be delivered in 2022. I suspect a healthy chunk is earmarked for the storage division. If storage converts to LiFePo, that will leave quite a bit more nickel based cells for automotive. So, I expect 45GWh more cars from Tesla in 2022. That's about 800K cars. The whole thing fits together nicely. They are on a trajectory to produce cars at a rate of 2M per year before the end of 2022, although I don't see any chance of them producing 2M cars in 2022. In fact, I speculate they will be lucky to produce 1.5M cars in 2022.
At a glance, the price seems absurd. Today, (yesterday) elons personal wealth grew by more than harley davidson, blackberry, and some beer company, combined…but a deeper look, and i think its not that absurd. They are now piloting other manufacturers charging on their networks. This is pretty huge. Expected…but now becoming a reality. Exit car manufacturer stigma and enter oil company comparison…that also builds cars….sells competitors their “oil” and sidenote….robots that will do chores on mars…. solar is achieving a 15 or so % improvement in efficiency improvement. I feel solar as a revenue stream, is quite, but not forgotten, and will have a positive impact before the second half of this decade. just my opinion. Hadnt read anything on it, but im betting the horse and the mission. FSD with the hertz deal, i feel will INEVITABLY usher in a revenue stream from non tsla owners. Either by conversion to wanting a tesla, and/or they will find a way to rent fsd with the rental. Its ridiculous, but i still think tsla doubles or triple in 5 yrs or so.
I'm seeing more and more charging stations going up near me. BTW Fidelity has just opened a new electric vehicles ETF. I got some for an IRA.
Sounds like DRIV. If I were a trader, I would try to monitize this fund's infinitesimal chance of success.
Terrific point. Oxford has a Perovskite/Si hybrid cell with about 30% efficiency. They have developed a perovskite based compound that can be doped onto a silicon cell for improved total efficiency. What I think many people don't understand about solar is: It's not about the solar panels. To stand up a solar generation facility requires mountain-moving quantities of effort, land lease, administration, licensing, red tape, transmission lines, etc. Once that is done, someone stops by with some panels and a couple of pieces of wire. The solar itself is a very small component of what goes into a solar farm. As solar efficiency increases and the cost goes down, the winners will be existing solar facility operators. Tesla has a surprising amount of solar generation. These facilities are licensed with grid tie-ins, etc. Tesla will increase their profit from these facilities over time.
$TSLA has reached another new all-time high. Leo Koguan is the third largest individual Tesla shareholder and he has been buying more shares recently. Materials/equipment for Tesla’s 4680 cell were recently delivered to Gigafactory Texas. Pic: Jeff Roberts.
That was such a joke to see play out on Twitter when Elon asked if he should sell some shares. We all know he filed for the sale long before his tweet, but the general public think its his tweet which was the reason he sold some shares. shaking head.
Well, I am finally in on the TSLA wagon. I really like Elon and a lot of the different projects Tesla has a hand in. NueroLink for example, I could see replacing the traditional Polygraph Test. Not to mention the countless other applications NeuroLink could have. As mentioned, Tesla allowing EV's from other manufacturers to use its' rapid recharging stations is also a huge move. I am in at 1,065$... I am sure I am going to see some pull-back but I definitely see Tesla pushing back over 1,200-1,300$. Tesla is the next Amazon/ Google. I cant even begin to imagine the other projects Elon and Tesla might have up their sleeves long-term. My only holdings at this time are VOO and TSLA (Also holding about 750$ in ETH2, I have been in on ETH since around 1,900-2,000$ and so far it has been very kind to me, will continue to hold for as long as I can.)
Tesla has implemented quite a bit of new solar, lately. They have expanded the roof array at GF1 significantly in the last couple of weeks.
I was about to post about a curiously low level of inventory at Giga Shanghai and then I thought, "I should check the port, first." Suffice to say, there is a lot of Tesla inventory sitting at the port of Shanghai, right now. Tesla is exporting a tremendous volume of cars from Shanghai.
I speculate that, within the next few years, Elon will step down as CEO of Tesla and perhaps become chairman. The point being, his heart is increasingly with SpaceX.
I saw an interview (from no less than a yr ago, probably more. Like 2018) where he was asked if he would ever want to hire a ceo to replace him for tsla. He said do you know anyone that could do it? I would love to if i could find someone capable. Not quoted, but thats pretty close to what he said. he has always said getting a sustainable civilaztion mars was his main objective. Tsla seemed the most reasonable way to start that project. Offsetting carbon, and more likely to succeed with less funds, than a rocket startup, among other reasons.
Tesla's fundamentals are improving, any dip is a gift for LT shareholders. I've added a couple of LEAPS when Musk unloads his shares to pay the taxes after exercising options.
I was a Tesla hater for a very long time. But as I have done more research and as Tesla has expanded into more sectors, I have begun to see them as the next Google in a sense. Due to my current financial state, I will likely sell off my position on Monday but I am very bullish on Tesla now. Barring a pullback by the entire market or some event happening, I see no reason Tesla doesnt set new record highs and possibly closes the year above 1,400$ a share. I feel good about being in at 1065$.
