Dude, just shut up! https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/07/tech/elon-musk-twitter-employee-disability/index.html New YorkCNN — Elon Musk has apologized after publicly scoffing at a Twitter employee’s uncertainty about whether he had been laid off in a recent round of cuts and speaking dismissively of the employee’s disability in a series of tweets Monday night.
I believe in Tesla's future and ability to dominate but Elon has lost his grip on reality. I'll bet a lot of tech workers recognize this pattern. A human being simply cannot work so hard without losing their grip. Elon could regain his grip but not without a long, long time of reduced workload. So, while I believe in Tesla, I no longer believe in Elon as CEO. I don't think his time to leave has come but I think it is near. I will probably buy back in, if Tom Zhu takes over. I'm not interested in riding out the shit show of Elons decline. Again, those following Tesla will notice the company is out performing every other automotive company on the planet. While.currently the most efficient, they are looking for another doubling of efficiency.
CEO's come and go, Apple and MSFT had the superstar CEO's who eventually moved on and the companies continued to greatness.
"Jesus Take the Wheel". Tesla investigated for Model Y steering wheels that may detach during use (Yahoo Finance). NHTSA’s ODI (Office of Defects Investigation) is aware of two separate reports of a “complete detachment” of the steering wheel from the steering column in 2023 Tesla Model Y vehicles. Sudden separation apparently occurred when force was exerted on the steering wheel during use, overcoming resistance of the “friction fit” that kept the wheel in place. The ODI report says both Model Y vehicles were delivered to customers missing a retaining bolt that attaches the steering wheel to the column. Both vehicles required a repair which involved reinstallation of the steering wheel.
Just pray that he doesn't let Joe drive. It's getting near my defense zone, I'm not one to use stops so keeping it on alert. I'd have to sale at a slight profit to prevent a wash sale. Missed the lows because of that last round.
I wonder if there was a provable correlation between Elon's mouth opening and the stock price taking a dump, could shareholders either sue him or force him out?
People who care about Tesla may find this bit of perspective interesting. Giga Berlin: - planned capacity of 500,000 units per year - broke ground in June 2020 - first 30 cars produced in March 2022 - has been in production for one year - current volume is estimated at 4000, although that might be a peak number - the plant is supplied by a small stamping building which stamps parts from pre-shaped steel brought to the building from a supplier - they recently began construction on a large stamping building which will be able to produce parts from large rolls of coiled steel - this is just one of many aspects to the job of scaling Giga Berlin One year in, they are at 10% capacity. They still have quite a bit of time and work ahead to scale this facility. I believe the only people who understand how hard mass production is are people who work in mass production.
Meanwhile, Giga Shanghai is producing roughly 1M units per year. That is the design capacity for phase 1 of Giga Shanghai. Shanghai was started only a few months before Berlin.
they have and will continue to sue him. but, that is just sour grapes. you buy a stock you inherit the risks that go with it. for the record, i admire elon musk and the work he does.
Though it may be sour grapes to some, I view it as poor business leadership. TSLA is inherently risky by nature; it does not need to be exacerbated by an increasingly erratic leader.
Here is an Elon gem. https://www.firstpost.com/world/mus...omotion-then-fired-the-managers-12269342.html
Bloomberg calls peak ICE. Sorry, this is behind a paywall but you get the idea. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...ndemic-combustion-car-sales-goodbye#xj4y7vzkg
I am going to predict that Mazda will do surprisingly well with their serial hybrid design. They are bringing back the rotary for use as an EV generator. It will be a single rotor, range extender. Abou 50hp. Should produce about 30KW.
The Mazda rotary engine never gained traction back in the day. I had one of the pickup trucks. The man that perfects Perpetual Motion will lead the pack. Screw Tesla for now, I'm all in on my new favorite Bank.
I've read some pretty wacky numbers, clearly all from a million monkeys with a million typewriters, but the number that is the most provocative to me is new vehicles in North America to be 50% BEV by 2027. If that number comes remotely close, how many of those vehicles will be non Tesla? Clearly some but not a lot. Scale, competition. Scale. (First, learn how to make a decent BEV)
