I swore off TWTR after I sold my position a week or two ago. Now it's back in the low $14's... Might be an opportunity for another ride up to $15.
My guess, without reading anything, would be that it gave people hope that someone would purchase TWTR for the same basic idea that LNKD was purchased.
A TWTR buyout will be a huge relief for the company, but then what are the buyers going to do with it? They risk alienating existing twitter users if they try monetize more than they are right now IMO.
What other struggling companies are out there? Maybe MSFT will buy all of them at a discount price in a bundle?
Twitter (TWTR) jumped over $15 on Monday after LinkedIn (LNKD) was bought out. Expect a pre earnings rally in July.
It went up because linkedIn was bought by MSFT and people expecting AMZN or GOOGL will buy TWTR This move won’t last long.
My Jul 15 $16 put is up 20% this morning and I am looking to lock in profits before the week is over.
Really wish I would have listened to myself when this was back at support at $14 again. I was very familiar with it from holding it for a few months and knew it kept trying to go below $14 but couldn't, so should have got back in.
TWTR around $14 looked like it was going to be in big trouble, Im still not sure it out of the woods.
