Overdue pull back today as UVE appears to be in sync with the financials as the markets are melting down
Even though the markets, and the financials were weak and the insurance sector down, UVE soared again on strong volume It is becoming more overbought again and looking at the RSI it could go a little higher before a pull back. At this rate my long term price target of $32 could get here sooner than later.

Public insurance firm expands footprint to Florida, Hawaii, North Carolina Fort Lauderdale-based Universal Insurance Holdings (NYSE: UVE) announced Monday that it had expanded its consumer online platform to homeowners in Florida, Hawaii and North Carolina. The Universal Direct platform is for Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company products. Following the expansion, the platform is now available in ten states including Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Minnesota and Alabama. As of Tuesday afternoon, price per share of Universal stock was up 0.61 percent, or 15 cents a share. With UVE dropping hard for two days in a row I stopped out of 1/2 of my position for still a good profit. I could find no news but it my be the hurricanes like @Z0da suggested.
Today I sold by the rest of my position on the bounce back. I still like the company but I did not want to see my profits fall off a cliff. I may re-enter when the time is right.
It looks like I made the right decision taking my profits. I think it must be the Florida hurricane that's causing it to fall
