Same thing around here. We had like 2-3 cool weeks up here in Northern Illinois, but the last week or so has been back in the upper 80's-low 90's. Thankfully dropping back to the low 70's mid next week.
Welcome to October! We're finally getting some fall-like temps around here ... 'bout time! I'm really loving this 5-day forecast. Seriously cannot get any better than this.
meh ... that was surely premature on my part we're back in the low 80s again, and don't look now but we could even potentially revisit the low 90s by middle of next week ... what the f! meanwhile, we haven't had any precipitation for over a month around here it's been extremely dry ... but i hear that tropical system (nate? or whatever the hell this next storm is called) could bring us some much needed rain. and let's hope that tropical system does not strengthen into another 'cane ... too many friggin' topical storms this year. looks like new orleans could be in the direct path of this one as of now.
looks like that tropical system did eventually strengthen into another hurricane, but not nearly as bad as the last couple of hurricanes we have seen this year ... i believe when this made landfall last night it was just a low cat 1 storm which is a relief to hear. we're finally getting the much needed rain around here this weekend ... i suspect that if it weren't for this hurricane we may still be going through the drought. so thank you nate for bringing in some precipitation our way!
Pretty cold out today here in northern Illinois, currently 37 degrees. Thank God I have a 1 year old vehicle with great heat and heated seats. Almost makes you like the really cold weather because it feels so good in the car.
still in the 70s around here. it was really nice out today...took advantage of the beautiful weather and hit up the bike trails earlier. does not look like the warm temps last long though...but still not too terrible!
was such a lovely day out here today ... took advantage of the nice weather to put up all of my christmas lights/decorations outside of my home! can't wait to see how it all looks tonight. i'll have pics posted up on our thanksgiving thread next week. meanwhile the weekend is look fanf'ntastic here!
I would feel bad for you, BUT... The wind chills are brutal. My dogs do a cold weather dance when I take them outside to do their thing. It's so cold that they lift one foot off the ground and constantly rotate the foot they are lifting so it looks like a dance.
yo @OldFart just heard tampa area saw some snow earlier this morning is it true? this week has certainly seen the coldest air of the season up to this point...brrrrrr!
