Xilinx seems to be on a tear for its Dotcom bubble high. I remember a guy who traded nothing but this, mostly on the short side, all the way down into the 2002 low. Anyway, its got about 6% more to go to test that high. Hmmm, easy money?? Monthly bars:
Thanks to a conversation in another thread, BA got on my radar as a both a trader and a long term hold. So when it became oversold recently, I bought 10k worth (31.75 shares) at 315 and in just a few days sold 10 k worth at 364 and change, leaving me with about 4.3 shares of BA. (I've been swing trading-into-long-term-hold positions using this approach for decades). After this week's market swoon, I'm eyeing BA for another opportunity to swing another 10k worth.
good stuff as always @Three Eyes! and thanks for helping to keep this thread active! if i have time this weekend i'll see if i can chime in with a couple tickers hitting my radar this weekend.
MTN (Vail Resorts, Inc) has been in freefall since an earnings miss. At 224.55, it's nearing support from a volume and price perspective, and the OBV has held up very well relative to the price. I'm watching to see whether it closes a gap (from March) at 213.80, and look for a bounce to swing-trade and possibly start accumulating small batches of shares to capture the 2.6% divy.
I can't believe JD went under $20 right now...I could believe it in maybe 10 years, but for now this one has the favor, and a story that has potential to draw so much more billions of dollars. Well last 2 hours of Friday, while everything else was just continuing to flush down and away, this one moved up violently. Hourly chart: Hit all-time low 5 weeks ago, but did not make it back down there this week.
JD tested its 2014 and 2016 lows. Also, the CD leg was 1.618 of the AB leg, over extended, a high probability bounce fib extension.
YUM has got the strongest armor. I think Taco Bell has usurped McDonald's throne. It's probably the cheapest you can get. Pizza is also a cheap meal, or couple of meals. And whereas the burger joints are dragging their feet on making non-meat options, at Taco Bell you can get beans as a replacement in any item. Arnold Schwarzenegger is talking about having to go meat-less 4 days a week and maybe trying every day.
haven't bumped this thread in a little while... you guys eyeing anything that looks interesting this weekend?
Was just screening some stocks for next week when I just saw huge drop NVDA made since its peak last October, roughfly 50%.
Have you seen GE lately. Made a decent move, technically speaking. Nice round bottom (not perfect I know...), made breakout w/ sort of gap up around 8$ level, minor pullback to that level w/ lower volume and up we go.... We may see 11/12 level if move goes on.
BA tested its gap and closed high on the session... Strongest stock in the industrials sector with RSI over 65, and point & figure count suggests 100% upside
