I know next to nothing about finance or stock investment but am really intrested. I have an uncle who is very successful in this buisness and i will talk to him when i know a little more about the subject. I have ordered the book "The Intelligent Investor" and will be reading this, although some people said its not a good idea to start with that book without knowing anything, so is there a good Youtube series or something i could watch to get some more understanding? Or anything you'd recommend i should do to learn more about the subject? I'm going to make a list with things i have to do in order to become familiar with the world of stocks.

I suggest to most people to start here (https://stockaholics.net/threads/teach-me-technical-analysis.125/). This will teach you how to read charts. That's known as Technical Analysis. There's also fundamental analysis which is more about the "numbers" of a company.

The most important lesson you need to learn as a NEW investor though is money management. Even the best traders will struggle greatly and fail if they don't learn how to manage their money. I'd suggest studying that in line with your other studies about the market, etc. Here's the Stockaholics thread on money management: https://stockaholics.net/threads/money-management.684/

Here's some simple advice for new traders as well, written by our very own @Rock Sexton: https://stockaholics.net/threads/advice-for-new-traders.4855/

That is typically the first stop for a lot of people, but Im going to make a point that this book is outdated.

The core principles hold true, but after reading this book you would conclude that GE is is a better buy than AMZN... things have changed!
