BioLargo, Inc. Discusses Development and Scale-Up of Its PFAS Treatment Technology and 2022 Commercial Plans With The Stock Day Podcast Phoenix, Arizona--(Newsfile Corp. - December 16, 2021) - The Stock Day Podcast welcomed BioLargo, Inc. (OTCQB: BLGO), a company that invents, develops, and commercializes innovative platform technologies to solve challenging environmental problems like PFAS contamination, wastewater treatment, and industrial odor and VOC control. President and CEO of BioLargo, Dennis P. Calvert, joined Stock Day host Everett Jolly for an interview. Jolly began by asking about BioLargo's consumer products strategic partnership with Ikigai Holdings. "Ikigai is a company that is focused on launching consumer products," explained Calvert. "The partners at Ikigai have launched at least five blockbuster products in their careers," he said, adding that they are "experts in the art of launching products that can build into a national brand." He added, "We have bargained to be the supply chain partner. So, we're wholesaling our product, earning a royalty on the technology, and then participating in a minority way on the exit." Jolly then asked about the progress of BioLargo's Garratt-Callahan partnership. "Garratt-Callahan is the largest privately held water [treatment] company in America," said Calvert. "We joined them as a technical expert to bring forth engineering and science to develop a product according to a design that they had created," he explained. "That product is being tested now," said Calvert. "We're hoping to launch very early in 2022." The conversation then turned to the commercialization of BioLargo's technology that eliminates per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), a class of water contaminants of rising concern because of their ubiquity in water around the world and their long-term health effects. "The Biden administration has listed [PFAS] as one of the top environmental issues of the decade," said Calvert. "We have a device and expertise that provides selective extraction [of PFAS] … [It generates] 1/1000 the waste that's created for disposal of the competition." The company hopes to get its PFAS treatment technology, called the Aqueous Electrostatic Concentrator, commercialized in 2022 in part by partnering with established players in the water treatment industry. "These projects could range [from] half a million all the way up to [the] fifteen million dollar range," Calvert explained. "I think this is a huge opportunity for BioLargo to create value for our shareholders, so we are very excited." https://audioboom.com/posts/7998255...-its-pfas-treatment-technology-and-2022-comme

BioLargo inc. answered Travis Loops appeal. BioLargo is a Life Science company based in Westminster, California. Its focus is to invent, develop, and commercialize innovative platform technologies to solve challenging environmental problems. The BioLargo CEO Dennis Calvert read the post on LinkedIn and knew that the company wanted to help share this awareness of PFAS and foster the learning of water awareness in the next generation. BioLargo reached out to Travis with the offer to help. “We are always looking for ways to engage in the community and promote scientific research and development in our younger generations,” Calvert said. “Our motto is ‘we make life better’, and to do that we have to keep the next generation interested in environmental issues.” BioLargo is paving the way to finding better solutions for PFAS removal from drinking water streams. Partnering with the University of Tennessee, the company answered a call from the U.S. EPA, and through the help of a federal grant, developed new technology for PFAS removal from water. It worked with the University of Tennessee to come up with a measurement tool to test for PFAS fate in the system to ensure removal. The U of T’s skilled technicians also honed a testing method that allowed for lower detection limits, coming closer to the extremely low tolerance limits the EPA is aiming to institute. ........
Excellent write-up on BioLargo''s potential 3 Products Behind The Rise of This Clean-Water Tech Co. Source: PennyQueen (2/1/22) https://www.streetwisereports.com/a...ind-the-rise-of-this-clean-water-tech-co.html ... BioLargo has a market cap of a mere $68 million, and yet it is becoming a leading innovator in multi-billion-dollar industries. While it may be a penny stock now, I think BioLargo stands a good chance of moving up to the big boards naturally in the next two to three years. ... BioLargo's AEC system passes water through an electrochemical field and takes advantage of the PFAS molecule’s polarity to selectively capture the hazardous material on a membrane. Traditional activated carbon filters create 1,000 times the hazardous waste as the AEC system and this hazardous waste must be handled and disposed of appropriately. A recent BioLargo press release showed that they were able to achieve total elimination [in technical terms below ‘non-detect’] of multiple PFAS compounds in testing with a large municipality in Southern California. Tests have shown that the AEC can treat 1,000,000 gallons of highly contaminated water with little waste material at a very low cost. This is massive proof of concept!
BioLargo, Inc. Discusses Progress of Key Partnerships and its PFAS Treatment Technology with The Stock Day Podcast 3. Feb., 8:42 PM https://audioboom.com/posts/8024583...ps-and-its-pfas-treatment-technology-with-the Phoenix, Arizona--(Newsfile Corp. - February 3, 2022) - The Stock Day Podcast welcomed BioLargo, Inc. (OTCQB: BLGO), a company that invents, develops, and commercializes innovative platform technologies that solve challenging environmental problems like PFAS contamination, advanced water treatment, and industrial odor and VOC control. BioLargo President and CEO Dennis P. Calvert joined Stock Day host Everett Jolly. "What makes BioLargo unique in the clean technology and environmental space?" asked Jolly to start the interview. "It's all about sustainable environmental solutions, and we like to focus on big problems with huge markets," Calvert explained. "Commercial opportunities are expanding quickly, so we're really facing an extraordinary growth opportunity." Jolly then asked about BioLargo's recent partnerships and their significance. Calvert explained that once their innovative technologies were developed, partnerships are necessary to achieve meaningful commercialization. "Once you're there, you partner your way to success," said Calvert. Calvert expanded by using their partnership with Garratt-Callahan as an example. "Garratt-Callahan is the largest privately-held water [treatment] company in North America," he said. Our companies have been working together on a new 'minimal liquid discharge' product for industrial facilities. "The goal for that partnership is to sell about 30 to 50 units [in the first year that it launches]." Calvert went on to talk about Ikigai Holdings, LLC, with whom BioLargo has partnered to launch a pet odor control product into the consumer market. "Ikigai is composed of experts in the brand-building business [who have] launched numerous products over their careers," he said. "Backed with venture capital, [they are] focused on the idea of exploiting their special talent, which is building brands, and they selected our pet odor control product as a platform on which to build their business." "They have a big vision of a billion dollar per year brand," he continued. "We make a manufacturer's margin, as well as a 6% royalty on the technology, and 20% of the exit," said Calvert. "This is a great deal." Jolly then asked Calvert about their technology that removes per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), also known as toxic 'forever chemicals', from water. "Our solution [the BioLargo AEC] is a low cost, low environmental impact solution," said Calvert. "These [PFAS] chemicals have been linked to adverse health effects," he explained. "It accumulates in your body, in the earth, it is everywhere." He then explained that the AEC's most important advantage over competing technologies is that it produces less than 1/1000 the PFAS-laden solid waste product compared to competitors while remaining economical and effective. "Who are you targeting?" asked Jolly. "We are working with one of the largest municipal water districts in the industry," said Calvert. "We are doing work with supply chain partners that serve military bases," he added. "We are also working in the early stages with the mining field," said Calvert, adding that the company is working on developing commercial trials in each of those markets. "Do you think this is a good time for companies to get involved with environmental technology companies like BioLargo?" asked Jolly. "The world is becoming smarter and smarter about the danger of these pollutants," said Calvert. "We have great technology and people that make it work, and we love our customers." To close the interview, Calvert discussed the significance of BioLargo's potential as they continue to experience growth within the clean technology space and bring their environmental solutions to market.
